The great thing about Vitamin D (for people who dont like or lifestyle prevents going out and getting much sun) is that it has a long half life in the body. It's almost near impossible to overdose on. Having such a long half life if you thought or checked your levels and they were critically low, you could take 100,000IU every day for a few days. The long half life would maintain an optimal level for many weeks (the vitamin D we get from the sun in summer is to see us through winter)

If taking a lot of Vitamin D I would also take Vitamin K2. Or eat lots of natto. Yum yum!

I wonder if my eye vitamins have K2 in them. I will have to get a magnifying glass to read the label. lol

I take vitamin D.  But I'm probably super deficient at the moment anyway.

Are there placebo controlled double blind studies on the subject?
Because correlation =\= causation.

Less active, multi-morbid people would be expected to have both lower vit D levels and a more severe covid disease; without the low(er) vit D likely being the cause of it.
