The bloodthirstiness for the unvaccinated isn't contained in the US, unfortunately. I don't know if it started here, but I see people from all over (who identify as on the left) talking about letting them die. Or celebrating when they die. Or floating the idea of bankrupting them with medical costs.

On a srsly lefty feminist fediverse instance I complained about a politician wanting to deny coverage to the unvaccinated, and someone replied "So, you are against encouraging people to be vaccinated"?  This new way they argue, where they just embrace the strawman... I don't even know what to say about it.  I don't even know if it's new, but it seems like it is. The left used to be the rational ones, or they pretended to be.

Its a fed up the spoiled sibling still gets dessert after throwing tantrums, not cleaning their room, and literal death threats and terrorism on politicians healthcare workers and teaching staff.

I'll happily celebrate John Kuzmas death. In life, he was a total lying bastard and a charlatan. Karma caught up with him and now he can no longer spread lies and misinformation which has been killing hundreds of thousands of people.

He wasn't some quiet person who simply harbored anti vaxxer ideas. He used his influence and platform to actively spread total bullshit and helped to facilitate the spread and death from covid.

People like Doug have helped killed more Americans than Osama Bin Laden. I bet Americans celebrated that fuckers death

Thanks in large part to people who couldn't give a shit about covid or spreading it, if you turn up to hospital for any reason, you have a real risk of being infected

So all those expectant mothers, elderly, vulnerable people who have suppressed immune systems because of organ transplants or in need of one, cancer patients or for surgery - you can have covid too!

So yeah, anti vaxxer fuckwits like Doug can happily be worm food now and not take up valuable bed space and resources (as well as risk infecting his doctors/nurses caring for the sad sack)

@ Kabool - Consider this, omicron is highly contagious, even if you've been vaccinated and boosted. People are going to the hospitals for various other things, and testing positive. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/07/covid-hospitalizations-surge-in-new-york-city-but-fewer-patients-are-in-the-icu.html  We're not going to get the hospitals back to normal for awhile.  The good thing is that vaccinations and natural immunity are helping keep people out of ICU, but that's not making it any better for people who are immunocompromised. There's really no point ranting about the unvaccinated anymore.

America will probably tip over 1 million deaths due to covid soon. They are the ones that died. Many more would have visited the hospital. For just the one issue... That we have a vaccine that prevents the bulk of those infected from getting sick enough to show up...
