Marcus and Joni's guests on Daystar have been the likes of RFK, jr., Dr. Sherri Tenpenny (she told lawmakers that vaccines magnetize people), Dr. Lee Merritt, Dr. Simone Gold (founder of AFLD, and arrested during the Jan 6 attack on the Capital), Del Bigtree (CEO of antivaxx network), Dr. Rashid Buttar (who has claimed all vaccinated would be dead by 2025). Yeah if you are vacced + boostered it shouldn't be a big deal. Still, I hope you won't get it since it still sucks with the potential loss of smell, having to stay in isolation etc.

I think the requirement is just to wear a mask. They are very relaxed about this. I'm surprised we haven't had a worse outbreak.

Delta cases in the UK have been bouncing around 30-40k for months, and gradually creeping up.  The latest spike to nearly 80k is Omicron, which only had a handful of confirmed cases a couple of weeks ago and is now dominant in London and some other areas. 

To start with, it looked like doubling every 4-5 days, now less than 2.  That’s compared to 11 days doubling when delta hit.  An estimated R number about 3.5 compared to 1.4 for delta.

It’s spreading at a incredible rate, but it’s still too early to be sure what that means for serious illness.  Unless it’s considerably milder, there’s a very good chance it will overwhelm the health service and we’ll all be back in strict lockdown before or just after Christmas.

Keep in mind the existing case for it being 'milder' may be due to people who have previously been infected with covid, being infected with the omicron strain so having some level of immunity.

We need data on people who are virgin's to this corona virus. Australia would make a good test case given we have had very low rates of infection. Although we have high levels of vaccination. So we need to find and infect all the anti vaxxer muppets with omicron to study it's effects

It will be too late - everyone will catch it by the time they can produce anything.  I think all you can do is try to control the rate of spread.

Infection rate is roughly 10%.

Come christmas, if the hospitals are overwehlmed they need to triage the icu then we can say "we be fuuuucked".

I think in this context 'triage' means to let somebody die/only do palliative care due to not being able to provide an icu bed for this person. At least in my country this hasn't happened yet.

I personally think I won't be able to get through the winter without getting it, but thanks to the vaccine I'm not too worried.

Also omikron has shown to replicate 70x faster in the bronchial tissue, but 10x slower in the lung (which means reduced risk for pneumonia, which is what kills you). Apparently, hospitalisations are 2/3 down with omikron compared to delta. Which is good news, but considering it is so much more infectious, hospitals might still get heavily overloaded.
