I laugh at the fools who spent the last years downplaying the virus. At those who said vaccines are dangerous. At those who said masks were stupid and so on. To me, these people are incredibly dangerous, selfish liars who have helped to create and foster an attitude that facilitates the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. And in a scope which has started to affect the lives of people who have nothing to do with covid

I don't laugh at those who are quiet, reserved or change their tune and urge others to get vaccinated before they die or end up crippled.

I'm not saying throw current sick people to the wind. But you need  to do something to ease the burden. Imagine stretching an elastic band. Further and further. Too far and it breaks. Your health care system is the same. When it breaks. Everyone suffers. It's foreseeable and preventable

Even when they die, begging people to take the vaccine, its not helping.  People stop listening.
So what the hell are we supposed to do to fix it?  To keep the hospital beds from being overwhelmed?  To keep staff safe and appreciated?  I mean fuck... They hire nurses from a god damn agency because their full time nurses are quitting in droves!

Aside from the diabetic, you throw them into rehab.  Because the amount needing it is very low.  Shockingly, we don't have a few hundred ODs that get hospitalized and require and ICU daily.

When thousands of people all need ICU attention and ventilators at the same time. As a doctor/nurse - it must drive them mad knowing in almost every one of those cases, it was entirely preventable. And that says nothing of the financial burden

When my son was born, he had respitory  distress syndrome and persistent pulmonary hypertension - imagine if the resources weren't readily available to treat him because anti vaxxers taxxed the supplies to hell. In his case, if they didn't have the supplies immediately on hand, he'd be dead.

Diabetics can be managed at home for the most part and again - dont make others sick just by being around them
