Reporting back post-booster-side-effects-period now. Booster was on Saturday at noon. Moderna. By 8pm, I had fever, chills, and the hair on my arms and legs hurt. I went to bed. The next morning I was achy and had a headache, so I took some ibuprofen and that eased the pain. Fatigue all day Sunday though, and general discomfort no matter whether I was standing, sitting, laying down - just couldn't get comfortable. This morning, all of those side effects seem to be gone. My arm is just a little tender at the injection site, but that's it.

A lot of those idiots think natural immunity but also took MAb whoch is a cheat and doesnt give natural immunity.

Artificially boosted immune through injected antibodies developed in a rats spleen.

So dumb

So rather than have their own body produce the antibodies before an infection, they wait until they are nearly at deaths door from the full blown disease and spend thousands of dollars (if they can afford it) getting the same thing and hope it's not too late. Just it's made from some lab rats spleen instead. The logic fail ::)

and don't forget your favourite destoryed lungs and brain fog and burden on hospitals.

Not to mention an orders of magnitude increased risk of cancer and heart attacks from all the internal scarring. GO NATURAL IMMUNITY!!!!!

Oh and for the blokes.... It'll also fuck up your dick (well, fertility)

In conclusion, all preliminary findings mentioned above suggest that the COVID‐19 pandemic affects the male genital system in direct or indirect ways and shows a negative impact on male reproductive health, inducing spermatogenic failure. Additional studies are necessary to answer all the questions and further investigations are warranted, but ACE 2 and TMPRSS2 play an important role in the cellular entry for SARS‐CoV‐2. As the male genital system presents high ACE 2 expression, the importance of this pathway increases in COVID‐19 cases.

OK. So after covid comes in your body and fucks everything up, THEN you go and get your $2000 rat spleen juice to cheat your 'I got natural immunity!'

Curious. If your antibodies came from a rat spleen and not your own bodies cell production, how useful is that 'immune memory'?

old news (to me as i saw it the week she said it) but i didn't think anyone was stupid enough to believe it until recently (when i was telling people what to do on youtube... ahhaha)

Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt claimed on Wednesday that receiving a round of Regeneron's monoclonal antibody treatment is "basically" the same as "getting vaccinated."

Earhardt, 44, who has been working for Fox News since 2007, made the claim during a segment of Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning when the hosts were discussing Texas Governor Greg Abbott's positive COVID test.

I didn't cherry pick anything! Do you disagree that even with 100% vaccine compliance that it will take awhile for hospitals to get back to normal?  I have no idea (other than you being Shitler) why you are even blowing that mild observation up into a weird argument.

Me: It will take awhile for hospitals to get back to normal.
You: WHAT ABOUT THE OVERBURDENED HOSPITALS?? FUCK AMERICA!!

Canberra has as close to 100% vaccine compliance as you can get and is in the midst of an omicron wave. Our hospitals are managing fine. They are still operating normally albeit just more careful or restrictions with visitors but patients are not impacted.

If hospital aren't, it's less to do with the fact that covid is in the community and more to do with protocols that were written with an unvaccinated population in mind

So yeah, I disagree with you as real world experience shows you up

More careful, and restrictions. OK.  Way to show me up.

I hope you will forgive me, i don't know which Aussie news sources are legit, but apparently at one hosp in Cranberra they are postponing some surgeries for 8 weeks.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-01-07/act-covid-restrictions-dancing-banned-elective-surgeries-paused/100744842
Quote
ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said non-urgent elective surgeries — known as category 2 and category 3 — would also be ceased at Calvary Public Hospital for up to eight weeks.

And you have to sit down to drink! lol

Hmmm. You conveniently left out:

Quote
Ms Stephen-Smith said the move allowed health staff to be redeployed to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

She said there were currently no changes to elective surgeries at Canberra Hospital or in the ACT's private hospitals.

The reintroduction of COVID-19 restrictions in the ACT align with many of those also reintroduced across the border in New South Wales.

Calvery hospital is a much smaller hospital and is a mix between public/private

And for the category meaning
Quote
Category 2 – Needing treatment within 90 days. Their condition causes pain, dysfunction or disability. Unlikely to deteriorate quickly and unlikely to become an emergency. Category 3 – Needing treatment at some point in the next year.

If you are in hospital managing cancer or treatment or you break a bone and require surgery - not a problem

If you have a dodgy tooth that you want removed for free and are on a waiting list, you can wait until omicron reaches its peak. If you are going through the smaller hospital. The main hospital and all private hospitals are moving along

Sitting down to drink simply manages the number of people inside an establishment at any time and have people mingle in their own groups. Instead of getting your drink while people are chatting at the bar then walking through crowds of people chatting and breathing in their spittle as you take them to your table. I know Ameritard doesn't care about letting corona rip through a population. Even unvaxxed ones. ::) You're from Florida. Look at your death toll per capita vs Canberra and you're hanging shit on how Canberra does things? Typical ::)

The government isn't always going to get it right. Some measures will be overly cautious, maybe bordering on pointless, others not enough sometimes.

When it comes to health care and hospital readiness and effectiveness, I sure as hell glad I'm living in a city where the population is as vaccinated as you can get. And if I were like my friend with a medically suppressed immune system, I'd feel pretty safe going to hospital for scheduled medication and treatments.

All that is true, and doesn't change my opinion that it will take awhile for hospitals to get back to normal.

Also, lighten up and go have your drink sitting down. It was just kinda funny, you weirdo.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

Spittle isn't 'spitting'. It's just the aerosols or droplets of saliva that come out naturally when people talk or cough etc. Moreso in a rowdy place where people have to yell over loud music

If you're in a crowded pub with a lot of rowdy yobbos who cant shut up while you take your drinks and move around, you're going to get spittle.

If everyone is seated you go to the bar, get your drink and go to your seat/table and shouldn't have to navigate your way through all the pissheads yapping and carrying on like porkchops

If you standing, you'll be holding the drink at a level that's just right for peoples spittle to find its way in there. Yeich.

Also, when you're at your seat, you'll be mingling with your own group and have less contact with others outside your circle.

I really dont even see the 'rule' as an inconvenience.

The CDC tweeted this a couple days ago, and I only just now started reading about it.

https://twitter.com/CDCgov/status/1479528331825582081?s=20
Quote
New @CDCMMWR finds children and teens 18 years & younger who have had #COVID19 are up to 2.5 times more likely to have a #diabetes diagnosis after infection. Prevent COVID-19 by using tools like masks and #vaccines for those eligible. Learn more: http://bit.ly/MMWR7102e2.

https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7102e2.htm

The media ran with this, but medical twitter thinks it's bogus, and is the CDC linking correlation to causation https://vinayprasadmdmph.substack.com/p/does-covid19-cause-diabetes-in-kids

It does seem like a bullshit study.

Agreed, correlation =/= causation.     So why does the CDC buy into that crap?  Simple,  it's an attempt to panic people into getting their kids vaxxed.
Sounds like they are following the D.A.R.E. playbook, which wasn't exactly a giant success.

I wonder if the fact that every time they mention obesity being a factor in bad covid outcomes Twitter erupts in tears of fatphobia, if that has anything to do with the wording of all this. I mean, I don't doubt they are hoping to convince people to get their kids vaccinated, but they know if they say it's even more important for fat kids they will be accused of being bigoted fatphobic eugenicists.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

What the heck? Your made up quotes need some work. lol

Obesity is a risk factor for having the bad corone, and dying from it. Being healthy won't ward off covid, but it can help you survive it. Also, it has been two years, not two weeks!

...also I have an exam next monday, so I am not going to get tested unless I have symptoms strong enough to not let me do the exam.

I had (and still have) no symptoms, so I went to my exam today, wearing an ffp2 mask. Of course easily passed it, as usual.

Edit: did an antigen test before visiting my parents, it was negative :)

okokok here we go!
to Space's point -
sask is adding a layer of reporting:

As COVID-19 hospitalizations soar, Saskatchewan has started to track, and report, patients that were admitted for virus-related illness and those admitted for other reasons separately.

in other words - who came here FOR covid vs who came here for XYZ issue and determined to have covid.

buddy other guy dr. says a determined covid case then stresses out the staff and becomes a liability.

But then, if we fire all the anti vax staff then any infection will be just a matter of staying home - no different than 2020 pre-vax - with little (little) risk of bad covid.
So this is the next extension of the conversation - let's go gogogogogogo

You didn't read his edit, clearly! The analogy is that he drank enough to think he could very well have been drunk, but a breathalyzer after the fact revealed that he was somehow below the legal limit. Probably. But antigen tests are most reliable when you actually have symptoms, so there's still some question...

Well, as long as they are not cheap counterfeits. God knows the market place is full of the crap. If you pay less than a $1 for a P2/N95/KN95/KF94 mask - you more than likely have a fake (at least here in Oz). I bought 400 of the P2 masks a few days ago. Made sure they were legit, Aussie made and TGA certified / tested. 8) Also I'll make it a tax deduction. My work only supplies shitty 'level 2' surgical masks which may have been okay dealing with the Wuhan strain, but does bugger all for omicron

But more power to you in any event. If people aren't vaccinated in Sweden by now, they've made their choice and accepted the risk. You shouldn't put your life on pause to accommodate their stupid risk taking.

After all, this was a test you need to take to provide for your future prosperity. And most people agree 'it's only a matter of when we get it, not if'. Another reason why sitting out the test on account of 'maybe' having covid to temporarily, maybe protect any dumbarse antivaxxers would have been stupid

Frankly, if they are anti vaxxers, they have already failed the test of life

100% agree here. People should accept that their gonna be exposed to the corone in the next weeks. There's no way around it if you have a social life. If you're vacced and boostered, you may not get it or likely stay asymptomatic/only have a mild disease. If you aren't vaxxed, it may hit you harder. Too bad, very sad, sucks for them.
