Iran general killed that ordered by Trump

Hundreds of people from several nationalities have been killed. I imagine Ukraine is pissed at the destruction of an expensive plane as well. I would hope Iran is completely forth coming and stops making excuses.

America cant take it easy either. It was their actions in killing the general of Iran that has made the entire region a hairs breadth away from a nasty war. Iran (or more precisely the dumbarse who fired the missile) can be blamed blame for the mistake and deaths. Anytime you fire a missile you should know who the hell your firing on. But Americas hands aren't exactly clean either. They try to peddle that the assassination of the general was to 'deescalate conflict' in the region. Well they should try and tell that to the families of the hundreds of people now killed. I dont think they will think the world is now a better place.

Iran has also apologized (unlike America) and it appears sincere. Quite the U-turn from them considering only a day earlier they were saying suggestions it was shot down was false, impossible, lies and an American led conspiracy etc. Not sure who was behind peddling that BS and then who decided that truth should win the day. Hmm. I somewhat agree but you may be misunderestimating how good they are at obfuscating the facts, or by creating confusion about which facts are important or relevant.


Also, lies are implied and believed by millions, nonetheless. And outright lies are spread in the form of opinion pieces or if they deduce that it can't be proven they lied. Further, false impressions are created by constantly and loudly reporting the truth about things which help their narrative and quietly covering things that go against their narrative once on page 12, or not at all.

As far as the topic goes, I hate war but recognize that sometimes it's necessary. To me foreign policy seems complicated. I don't trust the armchair experts and I certainly don't trust the MSM. The situation with Iran seems to have resulted in few deaths so that's good. The passenger plane is unfortunate. For my opinion on blaming the US for that refer to my above statements.

The larger argument, that the US should pull out of everywhere and go home, is an interesting one. In theory I agree with that sentiment, but I'm not sure it would lead to a better world for anyone in practice.
