The party that wants the citizens of the US to trust them with managing their health care cannot even come up with a smartphone app to give an accurate count count for just one state's caucus!

I have no clue why Klobuchar hasn't dropped out already, she clearly doesn't have a chance.

First of all I am insulted you call me a liberal. You're the liberal.

Second, it's fucking hilarious how you're still trying to twist her coming FIFTH as some sort of huge victory. SHE REALLY HAS A SHOT AT THIS NOW!

You never know when to quit, do you?

So far Bloomberg has a mighty 6 votes.  And he spent 200 million for that.

That's 33 million a vote.  So to win Iowa he only has to spend 1.65 trillion dollars.

It was at about the time I wrote it.

Currently he has 157 votes.

Uncommitted has 703.

Bloomberg should have campaigned like Uncommitted.

Related to that,

71% is in now.  Maybe Sanders is winning.  Maybe Buttiegeg(sp) is winning.  Just the pick the paper for the results you would prefer.

Dude you were literally, directly, and obviously proven wrong and now you are projecting. Klobuchar is FIFTH. FIFTH. How do you expect her to have any kind of shot at the nomination like that? She has less than half the votes of the leader, AND the second contender. No one is excited by Klobuchar either, very few would pick her over someone like Warren or Buttigieg or Biden were it not for the electability argument, and now she is behind all 3 of them in Iowa. She's not a serious contender, face it. Only way she can stay afloat is if Biden's campaign completely implodes and his supporters migrate to her, but even that won't be nowhere near enough.

Doubt it.  Voting in a primary is much more of a pain in the ass than voting in the general.

I voted in the republican primary in 2016.  Had to stand in line for about an hour to do so.  And for some god damn reason they opened the meeting with prayer.

I can't see enough of an opposing party going through the trouble.

Pete is still ahead at 97%,  But Bernie seems to be narrowing the gap in late counting.

My question about Mayor Pete is simply can an openly gay man win.  ( IE: How strong is the homophobic lobby in America? )    I suspect that if he were straight he'd walk it in.

Iowa is a weird place,  I remember being in Cedar Rapids trying to get a Bank America Card ATM to get cash out, and their only ATM's were "Shazam"  that didn't communicate with the banking systems in the rest of the USA.   Des Moines was just as bad.  I rang BA customer support for the nearest ATM location,  they told me Iowa was a black hole.

Seems nothing much has changed in the last 20 years.

Lets assume for a moment Mr Butt becomes President

How will an openly gay man be welcomed in places in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia where they punish homosexualty by blindfolding the person and throwing them off a rooftop? You have to respect the laws of the land. So will the king open his palace to him and his partner? Will they be allowed to share a room?

On one hand, having Mr Butt should nab every gay persons vote. And every liberal and every celeb who wants to take a selfie as they drop in their vote to virtue signal their love for gays

On the other hand, if could incense the republicans and even many democrats who forgot the entire point of Jesus's coming and let hate rule their lives and vote against him

At this point though, America would do better with an empty chair than Trump so whoever wins the nomination be it Sanders, Butt or even Putin (ok maybe not that guy), America will be better off
