I have noticed that I have been acting so weirdly recently. I was randomly bursting out in anger, I was always anxious, guilty, lonely, and often sad. I would avoid seeing people in the same household. I would not be able to hold my anger when they annoy me.
Have you also started growing hair on your body and getting funny feelings in your balls when you see a girl you like?

Hang on I don't think intelligence is based on age, I mean you get a certain amount of wisdom the older you get, but then you go and spoil it all by walking into a patio door.

I am a girl. I think my username confused you; in mjohn61, the "m" stands for Marie, and then the rest is self explanatory.

You're 61?

Hello, I have recently joined the Flat Earth Society. I wanted to share a little bit about myself.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Finally, I will close this post with the flat earth theory. I do not get angry when people say that the earth is round, or when I see a globe. I just simply chuckle to myself. I think, "oh, the ignorance".
I suspect that Oscar Wilde was thinking of someone like you when he wrote
"I am not young enough to know everything."

And Einstein likewise when he wrote,
"The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know."

Quote from: mjohn61
I just wish people knew that knowledge is our everything. Go after every question you have, people, and make sure to find the answer to them! What we know is never enough! Feed our brains with some useful information, rather than telling us that "fruits are so healthy!" Okay, that is a whole different topic. I won't get to that now, but make sure to really "reach for the stars", because nobody has actually done that before!
Surely visiting the Moon is one small step towards reaching for the stars?

I don't prefer people under 18 write in this forum. we've had a lot of problems with this before. especially families stated that their children's lessons were negatively affected. this is a real problem because we are writing things that are not compatible with what is described in the curriculum. I am glad to see those youths enter the flat earth belief. However, In this regard, I am temporary ignoring this member till our irresponsible management completes their social responsiblity that they never did and shows him to the out door.

I fully understand. I am glad that this forum has an age requirement, and I agree that children's performance in school would be negatively affected. I, personally, don't take this topic too serious. I have a (sort of) neutral opinion regarding this topic, and, to be frank, I believe that the shape of our world does not matter; let it be flat, sphere, or even cube, in the end, we are living under the same sky. Nonetheless, I respect your rules, and will leave if told.

I'm not aware of any minimum age required for this forum.  Maybe it's in the TOS and I've never noticed.  We do get children in school asking questions sometimes.

I have no way of knowing you real age and do not care but I'll make the following comment:

I would not take any notice of what wise says. He has nothing to do with the running of this place or of setting rules or entry requirements and neither do I for that matter.

All I can find about any age requirement is that this:
Quote
2. Explicit Content
Do not post, link or make available anything explicit, obscene, indecent, lewd, violent, gory, pornographic, illegal, etc. The Flat Earth Society Forum has a PG-13 (USA)/Certificate 15 (U.K.) content policy.
And this is the definition of that: "Rated PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned – Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13."

I see no need for any "material may be inappropriate for children under 13" in a Society like this but there are some of both "persuasions" who do post such material in that Angry Ranting section.

So it seems entirely up to you but I imagine any of the Society's administrators or moderators would welcome your presence.

The resident troll who bashes and denigrates the characters of anyone who doesn't conform to his narrow view. So sad. And to see you publicly bash flat earthers here on a flat earth forum as 'take no notice of' it boggles the mind.

wise actually makes a good point with the age requirement or perhaps a better term would be recommendation

At least he understands the need for people in school to do well in their studies because he knows the syllabus and curriculum will fail those and destroy the future prospects of anyone who goes against the system.

rab do you want children to read the ideas and views presented on this site? Or do you think wise's suggestion of 18+ is reasonable and produces a better outcome for people trying to do well academically?

Go get a life!

Do you ever do anything but attack people that you don't like?

Try actually posting something that deals with issues and not your continual personal attacks.

Also rab, while your blood was boiling and no doubt various items throughout your house were thrown in fits of rage that your poor darling wife narrowly avoided, there was an honest question you could have answered with some level of maturity and decorum.

Here it is again
