I'm not sure she would have wanted to be pardoned. She very deliberately got herself arrested to make a point.

I agree with the sentiment of doing it and she certainly deserves recognition and attention even after all this time, what she did was extremely important and shouldn't be forgotten so all this attention is good. But you could certainly argue that she would not be ok with a pardon.

Its not a campaign stunt.  He doesn't want oil rigs to ruin the view from Mar a Lago.  (Even tho you can't see em)

He was losing support in Florida. Drilling off the coast is not popular here because the state depends on tourism.

When the BP oil spill happened it caused a huge mess. I don't remember how much that cost, but ever since then Floridians have been against off shore drilling. Losing Florida would be bad for either party, and I think Biden and Trump are about neck and neck right now.
