Something mysterious has happened.

There was a recent thread "Earthquakes and ocean tides" which quite a number of us, including Tom Bishop and myself, put quite a deal of effort into.
But just today, Stash, noticed that it was missing, apparently without trace other than 7 posts split off into "Angry Garbage Dump" for "reasons".
But I tried to find Wise's post quoted in:

So, I would like to know what happened to the thread without any explanation left behind. How is that possible?
I, for one, would like to know at least where these posts went.

Can anyone offer an explanation and if possible retrieve those "lost posts".

I found it! It presently lives in the quarantine ward. Possibly as an accidental move. I can't move it back, I lack the required tools - one needs a spelunking lamp, a minimum of 3 flares, a spool of twine, and a macaque. While I have the last 2 items for the journey, I'll need help with the rest. I have sent out a carrier pigeon requesting assistance.

Thanks, but I'd hardly call SCG a carrier pigeon ;). I'll let Stash know that all is not lost and a solved mystery is no longer a mystery.

No no, you misunderstand. The carrier pigeon is simply delivering the encoded letter describing the issue and the type of assistance required. If all goes well, the fires atop the great mountains will be lit, and we'll know that assistance is on the way.

Okay, I found it. It was a mistake. Someone moved the whole thread, instead of splitting off the spambot post and moving just that. The thread is back in FE General. EVERYBODY DANCE NOW.
