It is very hard sometimes to draw a line between mocking and describing. You watch a ridiculous you tube video and there are several human nature responses you have:
You want to set them straight
They say they figured out FE and you were fooled by untrue science classes, so you want to establish your understanding of their proofs are correct and you are intelligent
You suspect they may be trolling you
If you suppress your emotions for a respectful try at explaining, their responses are likely to be evasive
They may refuse to understand RE science, or insist that it is different than you (and 99% of the world) think it is
All in all, the emporer with no clothes insists their subjects pretend that all is reasonable and some major obvious thing is not true.
For example, a FE map is posted. REs immediately start pointing out problems. Any response other than "Oh, you're right! My map is obviously wrong." may cause anger, and you are not likely to get such an admission, you are likely to get evasion of several types.
and you don't know whether to pity the person or be angry. You know one of you is very very wrong, and the person usually says in one way or another, "I am very smart", in fact if he has determined FE and you are still falling for the RE hoax, I guess the poster is really a lot smarter than you.
In addition, evasive responses might make you angry.
