Hello.

I am a high-school student in 11th grade, and I need to complete a small project on a subculture in the next two days.

I've chosen the Flat Earth Society as my subculture, and there are a few things I'd like to know about FE's as a subculture:
1. What do you (FE believers) believe your values (morals, standards of how one should behave, desirable qualities in a person, etc.) are as a society?
2. Do you believe that your society is a counterculture? (Does it challenge or oppose mainstream culture?)

Also, there's one more question I have. I've read some of the forums here on the website, and many suggested that all FE's are not Christians who interpret the Bible literally, that many are instead evolutionists and atheists. For these people, what is the motivation to so loyally believe in a Flat Earth? What do they believe motivation for world governments to conspire to hide the ice wall, etc?

I don't have much time, so please respond as soon as you can.

Thanks,
An Interested Student

1.  The same as just about every other law abiding, productive citizen's values.
2.  Obviously.

I think the only person that can rightfully answer those questions are Daniel; I would suggest to you that you PM him with the questions.

Many of us believe in a Flat Earth because our own observations, experiments, and scientific proofs have led us to the conclusion that the earth must be flat.

he kinds of equations that they have now are the kinds of equations you would get in an approximation scheme to some underlying theory, but nobody knows what the underlying theory is.

My main question in the last part is: Why are world governments trying to cover up the Flat Earth theory?

The conspiracy's motive is not yet known. And irrelevant.

Because it holds no relevance to the FE theory.
