No, I'm not that good of a gardener. I'm really good at growing southern peas, so I get enough of them to put in the freezer for about a year. Potatoes are super easy to grow, but wtf am I going to do with all of them? lol
The other stuff I grow, like tomatoes and squash, I just try to grow enough to have some fresh in season. Sometimes I have so many tomatoes that I have to freeze them, but usually it gets hot and rainy and the bugs come out then tomato season is over. Winter gardening is much better, it's easy to grow all kinds of greens, cabbages, and root vegetables.
The hot peppers were a surprise! I had a worm bed in an antique coke cooler (the kind that was in stores with the sliding doors on top). A tree feel on it and I abandoned the worms for about a year before I dragged all the tree limbs away and my brother got the chainsaw after the big stuff. I had no idea there were peppers growing in it, and I don't know what kind they are, but I think they're Thai bird chiles. They make lots of chiles every year, and I hardly have to do anything. I guess they just really like it where they are and the dirt they're growing in has got lots of worm castings in it.
