If there is not apparent movement between two objects, why would you want to know their acceleration relative to one another?

Think carefully about what he said:

I repeat myself, You should put this argument in the FAQ..

Go to the ocean (near a harbour) and spend some hours there. Observe the ships are arriving when they cross the horizont (a binocular would make it easier). You see allways first the upperside of the ship when it appears on horizont..This is a very simple proof for the curvature of the earth..

This argument (believe it or not) has been brought up before. Some claim to have seen it. Some claim to have seen something else.
