Are there any ways to go off the edge?
« on: December 17, 2018, 02:41:51 AM »
I'm rather new, but I do believe in this, so I want to ask, why are there no ways to go off the edge? Is there no way to contact people when they come back, or what causes people to not go?

Negative weather conditions. Surely, it is theorically not impossible but we have not achieved that technology yet.

The  earth is an infinite plane or a closed surface. The only way to go off the edge  is to go up.

If earth is plane, with a telescope on the Alps (Mont Blanc 4810 m) you can see the Himalaya mounts (Everest 8848 m) ? No obstacle higher than Mont Blanc exists between these mountains.

No you can not see because of refractive index of air. Intensive air near land acts like a light water and prevents you see the sides near land by breaking the light.

And we can not see high objects behind small objects because of perspective problems. There is one of them here;

In short, angular size desceases as a second order parabole, but not linear.

Air is not perfectly transparent and scatters light.

There is no end to the earth; it is an infinite plane or a closed non-euclidean surface.

I guess this might be a common question but, if what you are saying is true, why is there a horizon then and why can you go around earth to get to the other side?

if earth was an infinite plane then there would be no other stars in the sky and after you get out of reach of the sun would be completely black dark void of nothing. so what is the point of it being infinite?

Interesting, do you have a map?

Great question. You should definitely take that to flat earth general.
