True, science can't make up their minds about a lot of things, but the shape of the earth is not one of them!  And once again, you have shifted the topic away from the original thread.  I didnt ask about Sam Rowboat, or the Federal Reserve, or any of that.

I've already addressed that. It's either a hoax or sincere misunderstanding about the south pole.

If it's a hoax it's because of the conspiracy. If it's a sincere misunderstanding, it's an understandably easy mistake to make since the common man's adventure to the south pole would end at magnetic south. He would climb atop the ice wall, reach magnetic south and declare his journey a success. The man then turns 180 degrees around and leaves the way he came.

A true expedition would reach magnetic south and continue into the unknown abyss.

You have just proven 2 things.  1. You cant/dont read, 2. You dont know what you are talking about.  In my original post i wrote that Edmund Hillary did a trans-continental trek.  That means ACROSS the continent, with no mention of an "ice wall" and he didnt fall into "the abyss". And these were not "common men"! You and I are common men.  They are more men than you will ever be.

Wait a second. So you're saying that he climbed the icewall, then turned around? Did he ever mention a gaping abyss of nothing?

Wait another second.  If there is an "ice wall" surrounding the disk shaped earth, then there will be no magnetic south! You would just come to a wall, and then an abyss.  How do you even have south? South means down, you cant go down on a disk! you can only go side to side, east and west.  What say you to that?

without south how are you supposed to determine east and west dont say just north.. what about southwest and south east and south south west and so on

Nor did you ask about compass directions.

Go up to the FAQ and search for questions about points on a compass and you'll see there are in fact two explanations. I'm sure you'll be able to find them.

As for the original questions:

How do you explain the FACT that the norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen raced American Robert Scott to the south pole in 1911, beating him by 33 days, and neither of them or their party ever saw the supposed ice wall?

They were part of a Conspiracy propaganda campaign.

Do you deny this?

Deny that they are in the history books? No.

Of course anybody that calls history FACT is a bit clueless.

And what about Sir Edmund Hillary and Vivian Fuchs completing the first overland trans-continental (that means all the way across) expedition of antarctica in 1958? No mention of an ice wall by them either. Do you openly deny documented history?

Nope. They have documented history. It's wrong. It was yet another propaganda campaign by the conspiracy, both parties were in on it.

Quote from: "Mr. Monger"
OH FOR THE LOVE!!!! How is that an answer!? You have GOT to be joking me! Can you please, just for once, let go of the ridiculous conspiracy?? It is proven fact they went.

It is an answer, it's not our fault you can't see the truth.

Can you please, just for once, let go of the ridiculous notion of a spherical earth?? I suppose that would be too much for somebody who believes that history is a proven fact.

Quote from: "Mr. Monger"
Robert Scott and his team DIED trying to make the return trip, and you want to make fun of them like that? Thats pretty low down.

You brought him up, not us - don't go pointing the finger at us for your low down acts.

But seeing as you did bring them up and have let us know that they died allow me to point out the obvious: they didn't die, they went into hiding.[/b]

In all of you incoherent rambling, did you not read the part about me not wanting to hear anything about the "conspiracy"??  I bring up all these facts about polar explorers, and all you can say is "no, its the conspiracy".  Thats just bad debating for starters.  And to put it nicely its being ignorant of history.  Do you even know who those people were?

The reason is because they're not necessarily "facts" just because you were taught so / believe so / think so.

Exactly. "Logic" is also one of those tricky words you've been taught to use during your life, but in the real world it soon goes out the window. Do you think I knew I was gonna be an astronaut one day? Of course not. U can do the impossible.

Hey numbnuts, to most FE'ers on here, space travel is impossible.  You will melt, or you'll hit the ceiling, or you go meet the flying spaghetti monster, or its part of the conspiracy.  Pick someone else to be, or go jump off a cliff.  Either one is fine.

Now now, you two, restrain yourselves.  Remember, civility!

Anyway, Agent, debating any specific point will most likely only lead to frustraton.  As the Conspiracy is Omniscient, anything can be attributed to it.  Thus, the obvious answer is that the expedition was part of the Conspiracy, or tricked by them.

Obviously.

I don't know how many times I'm going to have to repeat myself but it was just a propagranda campaign by the Conspiracy.

You wanted an answer I gave you one. It's not my fault you can't accept it. If you keep asking the same questions you'll keep getting the same answers.

And it's not our fault that every time we ask you something about said conspiracy, you ramble on about something else, and ignore the fact that you were even asked a serious question which pertains to your belief.

Yet when someone who is an FE'er asks us RE'er's to explain something like gravity, we respond to the question as best to our knowledge, and even go a step farther and provide some sources to back our claims up.

Agent is right, that is basically what you just said. :?

So tell me. How do you speculate that there is even a conspiracy at all if they are so good at covering it all up? Shouldn't that mean that you wouldn't have any knowledge about any of this at all, and thusly we wouldn't be having this debate?

Stop making shit up, I don't like liars.

And cite your conspiracy too. I'd like to see where the initial idea came from.

How do you know im not part of the glorious conspiracy?  You have no proof, just like there is not one single shred of evidence to back up your notion that Hillary, Amundsen, and Scott were part of the conspiracy.  You really are a bad debater, because you take the easiest way out when presented with some truth, "its the conspiracy"

I don't care if I'm a bad debater, the fact remains they were part of the conspiracy and the earth is flat.
