He is eastbound and down.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

Well, that sucks.

When I was a kid adults would be bummed
when someone I never heard of passed away.
I didn't get it. Now I do.

This. We're losing greats at a rate I don't know we can replace.

Now it points to our own mortality.

Film stars and pop stars etc of the future will be CGI.
The real stars of yesteryear and who are (as has been said) dying off at a rate of knots, will never be emulated in human form, ever again, in my opinion.

Pop stars are going to be similar.
Look at the holograms they can present on a stage to a live audience.
The holograms will be CGI characters belting out tunes.

The Oscars and Emmy awards and the likes, of the future, will be CGI film stars with given names just appearing to look like they're receiving awards in real life as we simply watch on TV or a major updated version of TV.

The weird thing about it all is, humans will idolise the CGI characters, because we are easily manipulated into anything.

I almost feel glad that I grew up in the 60's and that I'll likely expire in a decade or two, unless I'm seriously unlucky and live into my 80's.  >:( :-\ :( ::) :P

Burt Reynolds and the likes were real grafting actors. As raw as the olden days but with extra TV colour mix.

A big part of the appeal of stars is that people can aspire to be like them and recognize an element of themselves in them. Even if at some point in the future using CGI to create virtual stars becomes easy, cheap and convincing enough for companies to even consider replacing normal stars with them, it won't catch on because people still know it's a bunch of computer sprites that didn't go to school, can't go to the same places they can, can't have relationships, and can't post pictures of what they eat on Instagram.
