I will not use them.

It's probably a hologram Data, or B4.

Supposedly spiner let it slip it was data at some convention interview, but he could be screwing with everyone. I have no idea how it could be if they are keeping the same time line. There wasn't even a spec of data dust left.

It has to be B4 because data said he loaded his matrix on that unit before he died, and it was whistling a tune data loved at the end of the movie.

Oh come on jura, besides Stewart he was the best actor on TNG. You got to see that when he data had emotions, lore or other roles he played in TNG.

Also, as you see from my previous post in this thread, I too was a big fan of Jeri Ryan, and not for the fact she was supposed to be eye candy.

In the STO game, Data's matrix took over B4's body, essentially reviving Data and allowing him to live on.

Odd they'd still have his body though.  That was center to the boom.  But he is durable so who knows?

In the STO game, Data's matrix took over B4's body, essentially reviving Data and allowing him to live on.

I never cared for this.  B4 was like Data's mentally handicapped brother.  He was sentient, even if primitive.  But what do they do with that spark of life?  Completely extinguish it.  Destroy B4's mind and replace it with a more likeable character whose death was completely superfluous in the first place.

B4 was a living being.  His life should have been respected.  Instead, he's completely erased just because his mind wasn't sophisticated enough.  This is a very non-Trek thing to do.

Because all writing sucks, they try to sweep away the moral problems by saying that B4 did this willingly, and that it was all within B4's responsibility to have himself overwritten by Data's android soul.  But that's complete baloney.  I think every episode of Trek that mentions suicide takes the opposite moral approach.

The fact is, Nemesis was a mess, and cannon would be better without it.  Now the writers are forced to accept unethical positions in order to restore the storyline.  Terrible.

But anyway I hope the new show is good.  Can't be worse than Discovery, can it?

I can't find it now, but I saw a picture from someone who does special effects that had what could possibly be the hand and arm of Q in it. If you have instagram you might be able to find it on collyervfx's page. I don't have instagram so I can't search through all his images or instagram stories.

I do not acknowledge the validity of Nemesis.

Here is a picture of Picard as a teenager or something from Nemesis.  Did the writers think that the audience is so fucking stupid that we couldn't figure out that Picard was looking at a picture of himself?

This is something that South Park would do.

We should make this thread a non spoiler thread. BAM ANY SPOILERS!

NOT A SPOILER: It was good. The first episode of any new show is going to be lots of exposition, which this was. It was also the set up for what's to come. It went by so fast I didn't realize it was over until it was over.

Number One = ADORABLE

There were a few TNG Easter eggs, but they are just things you may notice and don't have anything to do with the plot.
