My big question is WHY go to all this effort?
I was going to ask you the same thing.
I think the reason RE asks
why would anyone go to all the effort to perpetuate a lie is; RE can prove the earth is a rotating sphere. Any one of us can see pictures, videos, and/or talk to people who have been in space and seen it with their own eyes. They are not generally deluded by conspiracy theories that suggest the earth must be a sphere for one reason or another. Unfortunately, FE's believe all the physical evidence provide by REs is all lies, strung together by some secret squirrel organisation for some mysterious reason. Conversely, FEs can show expirements but, none of them are supported by the laws of physics. As a result, the REs generally think FEs are f*ckall ignorant. Naturally, this creates a breakdown in communications.
The real problem for FEs is that unless they go there and witnesses for their self, they're not going to believe anything an RE says. They will only believe one another. FEs will generate experiments that have no scientific foundation and when they don't understand the results, they will say, "Durka durka... it must be this because of that". At the end of the day, they will attach a scientific sounding name (zetetic) to it and call it research. Sorry but, we've long since passed the years of trial and error in this area. At some point in time, you have to believe there are people smarter who have figured some things out.
Some of the FE expirements I've seen include, pouring water on a rock and when it dribbles off, an FE will say there is no gravity because the water did not stick to the underside of the rock. They will argue that because we jump off of a platform and the earth doesn't go swooshing passed us, there is no rotation. Even better, some of these Nimrods will look at the moon and call it a hologram.
I live in the Southern hemisphere and I can tell you... there is no ice wall down here but, there is a continent called, Antarctica. There is an international treaty that prevents any one country from laying claim to it or exploiting the resources on it. However, if you have the transportation means, you can indeed carry your happy ass down there. It's not guarded. Also... it does not extend around a flat disk so, it's not a basin holding the world's water supply.
That's just plain stupid. However, if you doubt this... any one of the FEs on here is more than welcome to head down to Invercargill, New Zealand and charter a boat South. Try to plan it so that it's right in the middle of the midnight sun so that you can watch the sun traverse 360 degrees around you over a 24-hour period. Then you can come back and write about your experience and try to explain how the sun could possibly do that if it never goes below the Tropic of Capricorn.
Anyhow... FE folks are wallowing around claiming the earth is flat and cheering one another on. That's great. For me, it's funnier to read FE posts than it is to watch a comedy on TV.
FE is a fad and it will eventually die out (again). Until then, let's try not to kill one another.
