Knowledge is no longer centrally controlled and—as has been pointed out in the wake of Brexit—the age of the expert may be passing. Now, everybody has the power to create and share content. It is also clear that we’re seeing increased polarization in society, as we continue to drift away from agreed singular narratives and move into camps around shared interests. Recent Pew research suggests, for example, that 80 percent of voters who backed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US presidential election—and 81 percent of Trump voters—believe the two sides are unable to agree on basic facts.

Despite early claims that a worldwide shared resource of knowledge such as the internet would create peace, harmony, and a common interpretation of reality (this idea comes from as far back as HG Well’s “world brain” essays in 1936), it appears that quite the opposite has happened. With the increased voice afforded by social media, knowledge has been increasingly decentralized, and competing narratives have emerged.

nowadays access to information is the easiest, there is no way to control and guide the public. It used to be easy. a tv series, a few messages of consciousness, constantly repeating lies, and ultimately fooling the people into what you want. today people no longer hear news from television, from newspapers or from radios. Even any part of social media is inadequate alone by itself. people are taking it from the social media. it is debating it on another platform. and they share it on another platform. Today, social media continues to exist as part of a mixed network.

under this circumstances, there is no way to hide the reality of flat earth. The professors of the globist hegemonia can't deceive anyone, anymore. Because, a teenager who 15 yo has about same power with a man 50 yo a professor comparing to arrive the knowledge.

In about one hour, a 15 yo teenager easily find the issue that hasen't any adei about it in wikipedia, twitter or facebook; then can watch at least a video about it, then can learn the issue at least enough him to discuss with a professor. Even it does not give him a chance to do open-heart surgery, he can discuss with a professor on benefits and harms of open-heart surgery.

Either the intelligence level does not work in this regard. a person with much lower intelligence can specialize in a matter of hours in a few hours and give you aifing on that.

Correct,  flat earth belief relies heavily on mistrust of traditional authority.   The power of social media to allow people with similar mistrust of traditional science to get together and re-inforce their beliefs is the core of what flat earth belief is all about. 

Right and wrong have become relative.  It's more a question of what you want to believe.

Correct,  flat earth belief relies heavily on mistrust of traditional authority.   The power of social media to allow people with similar mistrust of traditional science to get together and re-inforce their beliefs is the core of what flat earth belief is all about. 

Right and wrong have become relative.  It's more a question of what you want to believe.

Youths tend to rebel in generally. Because they want to take the side of olders. one of them is to counter everything that the old man defends. Sphere world theory is the theory the old man defends. It is only a theory that the flat earth theory is actually older. It does not matter whether it is true or not. Young people did not live that old. but they know that the old man defends the round earth. then it must be a mistake. This is the start point of mostly youths.

Flat earth society. Society maybe a political argument next. But it is theorically not more than this. It can not be used for purposes such as misguiding the beliefs and deceiving the people. This is the two of main target of this society, but as all we see that, it doesn't work. For example; "universal accelerate model" is a perception management aim to deceive people who believes the flat earth theory. But people resist it how they resist the globe theory. these studies can only give some names to the foreground. For example, John Davis may appear in the media in the future as a plain thinker. may be a politician. but people will say the errors in his theory, and after a while he will necessarily have to tell the facts to the od.

finally, whatever it is ture, it will be. All they do is slow it down, but they can not make it.

We debate how Prince charming didn't obtain 'consent' when he kissed sleeping beauty. We are coming up with ways to count the number of recognisable genders to infinitive rather than get on with the real shit and sort out real problems.

I read the article but my reply was mostly in your quote from it.

You can bet that more money than you earn in several years was spent authorising and researching how Mr Men childrens books are sexist. You tell me, how is that important? Does it benefit you and your society in any way? That's not the only ludicrous example of public money being spent on shit SJW and PC rubbish brain farts. My 'grievance' is not unjustified.

Also society places too much importance on the thoughts of too many people of insignificance such as in Facebook and Twitter. People need to understand they are sharing a world with more than 7 billion people. That's more than 7 billion points of view. Billions of people all trying to be heard and believing their point of view is more important than everyone elses at the same time

My advice (for the shit that its worth).... Get rid of Facebook and Twitter. Their outreach extends too far. Vet all YouTube videos so that shit like anti vaccine disinformation shit never sees the light of day. Return the power of information dissemination back to people who have spent years in research. Destroy the partisan political model and put an end to pointless political correctness.

And instill from a young age that you will be offended in life. If a woman is wearing a ring and someone asks 'who is the lucky guy', not to take offence that the person assumed you are heterosexual and finally, make things much more simpler. Barring a real medical condition, if you are born with a dick you are a male, end of story. No choosing. No fluidity. No demanding society play along with your delusions of being a woman. The more PC you stamp out, the more real information takes it's place.

You have seen yourself Rayzor the rise of social media and the political paralysis in the Australian parliament. We haven't had a leader serve out a full term since 2007. Ok, let's just take one point at a time.   How much money was spent researching how Mr Men books are sexist?   

The amount of money is not relevant,  it's a question of are they sexist or not.  I would argue that they aren't sexist.  But that doesn't stop someone else claiming they are.  I don't have a problem with someone researching that and coming to some conclusion.  The better question would be who cares?   They banned Enid Blighton books in schools because of the Golliwog and Mr Plod,   The world didn't end, and I know plenty of kids still read those books.

I would argue that attitudes and opinions are affected more by parents and peer groups than social media,  to illustrate my point,  how many flat earthers have been converted to globalists by arguments on this forum?
