What are Globe Earthers scared of?
« on: March 12, 2018, 06:20:03 AM »
This site is not like a general "Reddit" page or even an unbiased YouTube video in the comment section.  This is a Flatearthsociety site.  Why would one feel compelled to defend the globe, if the earth were a globe and it was as plain as day the globe would defend itself, but it can't because there is nothing to defend.

Sleeping, scared and lost dreams.  Then one day you awake from the madness, I will be here when you do to answer all your questions.

Thank you. Please answer my question of how I flew across the South Pacific without an accurate map and yet managed to get exactly where I wanted to?

I, for one, am not scared. But I am somewhat baffled by those who believe in a flat Earth. I cannot understand why anyone would do so with all the evidence of a round Earth.

And I think it is important to fight such stupidity. We are living in a world which seems more and more open to accept things like homeopathy, anti-vaccination movement, and other things which will just push us back towards a new dark age.

Why would one feel compelled to defend the globe, if the earth were a globe and it was as plain as day the globe would defend itself, but it can't because there is nothing to defend.

You can see for yourself that for some people it is not as clear as it is.
Since they can't in reality, they would like at least to flatten the Earth in the minds of as many "victims" they can hit.

Simplifying and spreading knowledge is the least "painful" way to reduce recent attacks of the Flat deception.
I don't have to fight about anything.
These things are not about me.
When one points facts out, they speak for themselves.
The main goal in all that is simplicity.

RE-tards are not scared.

Most of the accounts here are actually bots.

Any of the real accounts?

They are, for the most part, psycho/socio paths with an insatiable need to experience some form of recognition outside of their basement.

Have you taught your children the Earth is flat? Or do you allow them to come to the conclusion on their own?

It used to actually be pretty interesting. You don't have to believe in FET to acknowledge the inventiveness behind a number of the mechanisms and explanations used within the model, and when making informed points you tend to learn a whole lot more about whatever it is you're defending. It's more about how you engage than what you engage with.
It's just been steadily getting worse, and it's more about ego trips than debate. No one's afraid, you'd be hard pressed to find a thread that puts any effort into 'defending a globe,' it's more snark and disbelief that anyone believes in FET.

Debating, listening, responding... is a lot of fun for both parties, is interesting, enjoyable... That's why a lot of older users are here. It just tends to be now that more often there's not much in the way of responding and more in the way of just acting superior irrespective of what the other person said. Hardly fear, just typical internet behaviour.

Well, I'm not the least bit scared of FET because there is no working model to be scared of.  When they can put together a coherent model that can explain even basic celestial observations, then I might start to worry.

However, the level of willful ignorance, intellectual dishonesty and mistrust of mainstream science and technology demonstrated is another story.

RE-tards are not scared.
True, as there are no RE-tards here, but so many retarded FEtards seem to be scared, judging by the way they react to evidence that their pet ideas are incorrect.

Why do you have to come out with the most stupid lies to cover up your own abject ignorance?

Please present evidence that most Globe supporters' accounts are "actually bots" of not "real accounts" - and I do not include Papa Legba and Gaia Redonda as Globe supporters.

That description better fits many flat-earthers (like yourself and many FE YouTubers) than the majority of people who know that the earth is a Globe.
We don't have to invent magic to cover up deficiencies in the Globe.

PS Check out the direction of the sunrise on March 21 and explain how the sun could possibly rise due east on your flat-earth model?

No ignorant puppets,..... the people around the Nile DON’T take burgers and coke to a picknick.
I was forced to use an alligator picture stealing burgers from the only nation in this world that even eats this trash during a picknick .

But kudos that you caught ONE aspect (crocodile vs alligator) missed the underlying humor, but still i am impressed with this magnitude of progress on your side.

Name one thread where a flat-earther has put forward an idea that's been well thought through and has cast iron evidence and support. The problem is what you think passes for inventiveness, others think is just plain stupidity dressed up like a pig wearing lipstick and a dress. A pig is a pig regardless of outfit and make-up.
It amazes me how John Davis can put forward claims using bad arguments such as the one, where according to him, 100% of all scientific theories are wrong. You being the force against bad arguments, I thought you would have been over that one like a rash. If a claim is bad it matters not what side of the tracks it comes from, bad is bad.
The world is a sphere beyond any doubt and regardless of what flat-earthers put forward, they will never be able to claim otherwise as their ideas are purely based on a combination of global conspiracy rolled in rubbishing conventional science and devoid of supporting evidence. The idea is then presented from a total point of ignorance of the subject, that you then support and consider to be inventive.
