Insert quote function still broken...

Well, only for me.

The bots infesting this place seem to be doing fine.

Comments?

It's on and off. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Why do you care? All you do is troll and discredit any opinion contrary to the mainstream. You might as well do away with quotes entirely, it's rare you actually talk to anyone rather than spam your usual.

Your functions are going down part by part. At last, you'll not use any of features in this forum soon. Because you are not bot.

Whatever.

The insert quote function does not work for me.

It seems to be working for everyone else though.

Explanation please?

It doesn't work for me most of the time. Sometimes if I hit preview and try to insert a quote it will work, most of the time it doesn't.

I'd rather the mods and admins explained this farce though...

Will they though?

Try clearing your cache and see if the issue persists.

Let me know what browser you two guys are using.

Thanks!

I have the same issue. Chrome on Android. It seems intermittent, but frequent. And if I have the issue but then preview my post, I can use the insert quote function after I load the preview

Nothing to do with that.

It's deliberately switched off and you know it.

It might just be your account, I used the search and just used insert quote. Are you using android by any chance? The forum is laggy to the point it feels like a DOS attack. Most things don't work on my phone but the site isn't mobile optimized. I just put it down to that.

I'm running Debian and Firefox at the moment and everything works alright.

It is likely a race condition of some sort. I'll see if I can replicate it hopefully soon. If anybody else wants to take a stab at figuring out the issue I'll happily work towards giving them a path to fix it without need for my intervention.

Most of the site in actuality is mobile optmized, at least as compared to some other sites in the same space - at least last time I checked using googles tools.

Yeah, the alaska.net site could use some upgrades...

You are most right, we fell behind significantly for some reason since I last checked.

That reason is that "PSI estimates this page requires 4 additional round trips to load render blocking resources and 0.4 MB to fully render. The median page requires 4 round trips and 2.7 MB. Fewer round trips and bytes results in faster pages."

This is easy enough to fix, and I'm glad to know about it. Its on the top of my list, category: google related stuff.

It looks like it is a race condition; I saw the same thing, and realized it took a few seconds longer for the js to finish loading.

Can someone experiencing this help confirm next time it happens by both waiting a while and posting what shows up in their browser console (if you need to help with this let me know)?
