Important: Only the following values will be used as speed.
i.e. you will ignore the different sections of the flight and instead pretend the flights start off at some speed instantly and stop instantly.
This will result in significant errors in distances.

If there is only 1 flight between these source with one aircraft, the calculated value will be marked as suspicious and colored as "red".
i.e. you will leave yourself wiggle room to outright dismiss these values when they show a FE to be impossible.

There is no flights between Johannesburg and Santiago. But the distance is just 9.000 kms according to google. How, how how interesting! So you want to convince me that they are close like this?
So? That is the case for loads of combinations of cities.
This is due to economy, not distance.
There are flights between Sao Paulo to Johannesburg.
So are you suggesting Africa is just really really wide?

But there are also flights between Sao Paulo and Santiago.

Do you aware of the shape of the earth now?
Yes, it is round. You have links around the south pole, links around the north pole, and links north to south.
The only way for this to work is for Earth to be round.

Are you aware of the shape?

Distance from Sydney to Johannesburg is: 12:45x807= 10.292kms

Google claims: 11.036 kms. Mistake of google: 7%
No, it isn't a mistake of google. It is a mistake of you, for using an accurate method to calculate the distance and then pretend it is perfect.

This is a  very un-scientific method as compared to brotherhood's:
Type in "Distance Between Cities"on your search bar
This will take you to the "Distances Between Cities" websites
Type in the cities for which you want the distance

I typed in Santiago, Chile and Johannesburg, South Africa
This gives the distance as 5708.93 Miles

I even typed in my address and the address of the nearest 7-11 store
1 Mile, and it takes 3 Minutes to drive there
I checked this with my car's odometer and clock and it's accurate
Except it took a little longer because I had a stop sign in between

Why go to all this trouble when you do this the lazy man's way ? 😆

Stick close , very close , to your P.C.and never go to sea
And you all may be Rulers of The Flat Earth Society

Look out your window , see what you shall see
And you all may be Rulers of The Flat Earth Society

Chorus:
Yes ! Never, never, never,  ever go to sea !

Air New Zealand 30
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND to EZEIZA, ARGENTINA
11h 33m total flight time
6420 Miles

Perhaps, it is possible. Because Australia isin't the dipp of the map. Oppositely, it is on the top and near to South America from other side, especially New Zealand.

selected cities will be changed to others. Because most of selected cities are not popular and most part of distances are marked as red. There is only 4 greens (most reliable) routes in 21.

REPORT:

Total selected number of routes: 21

Number of Most reliable distances (green): 4
Number of Reliable distances (orange): 4
Number of suspicious distances (red): 8
Not Applicable distances (N/A) : 5

Result:

Insufficient reliable data. the task was canceled. alternative methods will be tried.

Alternative 1:

Starting with central cities. We will select most crowded airports and try to arrive most number of "greens".

China is suspicious.

Russia is suspicious.

India and Indonesia is suspicious.

So what is left?

We may start flights inside USA, Canada, Europe, Africa and Australia. It's important to be close in terms of the merge method. for this reason it should start from flights inside Europe, inside USA and between europe to the USA.

Selected cities for round 2.

They selected by most crowded ones except China, Russia, and such as countries.

Number of Place/ City name/ (rank in world most crowded airports)

1- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (1)
2- Dubai (3) Doha (Qatar airlines goes almost everywhere)
3- Los Angeles (4)
4- Chicago (6)
5- London (7)
6- Paris (10)
7- Dallas Fort Worth (11)
8- Amsterdam (12)
9- Frankfurt (13)
10- Istanbul (14)
11- New York (16)
12- Denver (18)

List is taken from here: http://www.businessinsider.com/20-busiest-airports-in-the-world-2017-5/#no-20-bangkok-suvarnabhumi-airport-bkk-55892428-passengers-in-2016-1

Insufficient reliable data. the task was canceled. alternative methods will be tried.
Of course, as they don't match a FE, you will dismiss it.

Why don't you try making a map an seeing just how far out some need to be?

Or try making small maps for individual sections?

They selected by most crowded ones except China, Russia, and such as countries.
Why exclude them.
Also, you need the most number of different flights for your method, not necessarily the ones with the most people.

Here is a map.

Map was scale was set by LA to Hong Kong route.

All other routes are further south and errors grow the farther south the flight paths are.

Google distances are based on WGS84, do you believe this to be incorrect?  If so, then you should contact the appropriate authority who will be pleased to hear from you.

Common guys, let the fella complete his "research" . I for one am particularly interested in what he ends up with. I expect he'll get some wonky distorted spheroid and I really want to see his reaction to that. I am so wanting to see that. Got my popcorn and everything.

There is a relationship between aircraft speed and distance of the route. For short distances, aircrafts are going with less speed, accordingly to longer routes. After about 10.000 kms, aircrafts are genrally running with top speed of cruise. So, there should be a speed formula for every aircraft depends on distance.

We'll make it after finished the airports in USA.

There is a relationship between aircraft speed and distance of the route. For short distances, aircrafts are going with less speed
Because a larger proportion of time is spent outside the cruise stage.
This has been explained to you repeatedly, and is a fundamental flaw of your method.

Google mistakenly claims: 3.978 kms.
Until you can prove otherwise, I will accept Google's claim as correct as it matches all distances I have measured.
Meanwhile your method produces significant variation and is prone to error.

So no, it isn't Google's mistaken claim. It is your mistake.

Claiming it is Google's mistake when your value is quite close (3992 km), while you have massively different values (e.g. 4375 km and 3598 km) is either extreme dishonesty or extreme stupidity.

Your method is fundamentally flawed.
Stop lying and claiming Google is wrong based upon your flawed method.

Now I can show you how they perfectly matches! these error ranges will guide us. and the resulting shape will remain within these error ranges. Actually I can make it with best flight time method, I made it earlier and done it perfectly, but this time I chosed a harder method. But I know this works too. After let you watch this video. Remember who will win at end! And don't forget, you had already never have a chance!

There is a relationship between aircraft speed and distance of the route. For short distances, aircrafts are going with less speed
Because a larger proportion of time is spent outside the cruise stage.
This has been explained to you repeatedly, and is a fundamental flaw of your method.

Jack is right, but I suspect Intikam is tossing this in here NOW so he can use it LATER to do all kinds of mischief to the long-haul routes and make them whatever distance he wants them to be....

Now.

We arrived these distances with these error ranges:

Los Angeles - Atlanta: 3.073kms. +-7%
Los Angeles - Chicago : 2.769kms. +-3%
Atlanta - Chicago: 1.221 kms. +-8%

Dallas- Los Angeles: 2.168kms. +-12%
Dallas- Atlanta: 1369 kms. +-7%
Dallas -  Chicago: 1.583kms. +-8%

New York- Los Angeles : 3992 kms +-5%
New York - Atlanta : 1.491 +-5%
New York - Chicago 1.430 kms. +-8%
New York -  Dallas 2275 kms. +-5%

We arrived this shape:

Comparing:

Route / calculated distance / error range / distance on the map/ difference of map and calculation range / it is error in or out of the error range

Los Angeles - Atlanta: 3.073kms. +-7% /3265kms 6%  (in)
Los Angeles - Chicago : 2.769kms. +-3% / 2777kms 0%  (in)
Atlanta - Chicago: 1.221 kms. +-8% / 1318kms 8%  (in)

Dallas- Los Angeles: 2.168kms. +-12% /2031kms 7%  (in)
Dallas- Atlanta: 1369 kms. +-7% / 1276kms 7% =7% (in)
Dallas -  Chicago: 1.583kms. +-8% / 1456kms 8,7% (limit)

New York- Los Angeles : 3992 kms +-5% / 4058kms 2% (in)
New York - Atlanta : 1.491 +-5% / 1407kms 5,9% (limit)
New York - Chicago 1.430 kms. +-8% / 1315kms (%8,7) (limit)
New York -  Dallas 2275 kms. +-5% / 2390kms 5%=5% (in)

These distances may a bit change with new datas. Today it seems good. You can correct that shape by drawing on a plane surface.

I may a bit correct more on them but it is enough for tonight. As we see that, they are perfectly matches on a flat surface. Perfect. Because the earth is already flat.

I admire you for having a go a least and as long as you make some sensible ball park allowances for taxi/departure arrival routes/holding/prevailing winds etc then you might get a rough idea of the topography. Don’t forget that an airline will plan a min cost routing not necessarily a min distance routing. Prevailing winds mean that the return route can be very different from the outbound, North Atlantic tracks are a good example.

If you want to invalidate a globe model then you really should be looking at southern hemisphere routes where the errors of your methodology will be small compared to the differences between the “competing” models.

Anyway, I’m currently in EZE (Buenos Airies) having operated a 777-200ER from Europe a couple of days ago. We stay in the same hotel as the NZ crew so I was out for dinner last night with the crew that operated their AKL-EZE service (currently also on a 777 due to the ongoing worldwide engine issues with the RR powered 787). Their non-stop route/timing was as advertised.

Surely you’d be much better looking at these kinds of sectors?

I want to reply parts of your post as how much I understand. Because I did not get it all.

First of all I have to specify that this work is not related to the earths being flat or round. This working is only aiming to define a good and reliable map. there are many objections to this issue and I know the meaning of these. there are actually too many parameters here and I take into account only a few of them. this is causing a boosting effect on the margin of error. But I made such as workings and have enough experience on this. I know that;

Whatever the datas could be weak, many point-supported data become secure. For example, in this last study, 10 different data with the highest error range + - 12% were combined on a schema. the purpose of doing this is that people see how easy the system works and that indeed the uncertainties are disappears after a while.

I want to tell you this with a simple example.

Let's get 7 data:

1)  A to B = 5.000 - 10.000
2) B to C= 10.000-12.500
3) C to D = 15.000-20.000
4) A to C= 15.000-20.000
5) A to D= 15.000-20.000
6) B to D= 15.000-20.000
7) C to D= 15.000-20.000

at first glance this may not mean anything. but if values are studied, they will narrow down after a while. the result is the same with if the first data starst with:
1) A to B= 7.500.
At last, we'll already arrive the result to A to B= 7.500, if it really so.

It seems a number puzzle:

Who think on this puzzle for a while, will understand what I meant. There is no numbers on the boxes. But actually, there is some numbers on the boxes, but not seem yet. It appears after a few working. where the method is to continuously narrow down the error range. for this reason it is not harmful to have too many unknowns at the beginning. on the contrary, it is more useful.

No, not perfect. Very far from perfect.
Several are a lot smaller, several are a lot larger.
If you want to get anything even remotely meaningful, you need to see how this compared to a RE as well, as currently there is so much error it isn't funny.

Also, another factor which contributes to the difference in times is the directions of take off and landing.
For short flights, the planes may need to take if in the wrong direction, turn towards near their destination, then turn again to land.

Tomorrow we'll combine Denver to these 5 cities. You'll see how it will perfectly match to others, like others do. They will perfectly match, because the earth is perfectly flat.

Till that time, think on this solve of this puzzle:

These are small airports and don't gather reliable information. It is clear you are not following this working. You are ignorant about this method. If you have an idea, could know these are small airports haven't enough flights. these are the places will come out spontaneously at the end. it is foolish to ask for ideas and produce ideas about them.

All the drawn routes are routes flown by commercial airlines at least weekly and are tracked on websites that are being used above in other posts.
