Sure. Pretty much all popular cryptocurrencies are way down compared to a couple days ago, but you're making a bunch of money. Ok.

I'm just saying that one or two days is completely irrelevant in this context. You can lose 20% in a day and still be up 300% in a month. That's making money.

Looking at the charts is so weird. You check and almost every coin is in the green. Then you check back in 6 hours and they've all fallen 20% or something. And then you check in another 6 hours and everything is rising again. Next day it's 50% down.

No. Well, most don't yet. I mean, they do work as currency, but they'll be more viable in the future when the market calms down.
That's not what I was saying. I've already said that it's pretty much only good for investing right now.
That's why I kept saying stuff like "it's the future", and not "it's the present".

It is certainly a fucked up little universe at the moment. You should stop looking at those charts though, and look at any coin's chart for the last year.
Then ask yourself why you questioned throwing a small amount of cash in.

When the Bitcoin bubble pops and the value drops back into the realm of a stable currency analogy, it will operate much like a wire transfer.

Until then it is nothing more than a speculative gamble that a very few will win and most will lose.

But seriously though, I just set up a garlic miner. 2 whole garlicoins already! Now I just have to wait for it to rise to 20K per coin and I'll be filthy rich.

Governments and global capital all together are targeting the crypto currency. we know that they are collecting money for a long time. especially in the last few years. they gathered it for operations like this. this will stop on a day. but we do not know where to stop. they are experimenting. If the money starts to down by itself, they do not intervene. If money start to rise, they wait for a while and then drop it too high. thus harming the investor. in this way people are trying to end their trust in the crypto money.

Sounds like their main interest to bitcoin. Their main target is bitcoin. But others in the line and waiting. Their interest will end when their crypto money ends. This is relevan with rate of their money. For example, if they have 90% of bitcoin, this means bitcoin will lost 90% of its value then starts to up again.  My estimate is they have 80% of bitcoins.

the wait seems to be the best option. sell a piece, keep a small amount, then buy part by part small amounts. If the calculation is well done it can be rich by this sell and buy movements. or it is possible to lose everything.

this is not an investment recommendation.

I've been mining glorious salt on biz. What's the difference between crypto and fiat? Nothing they're both just numbers on a screen.

You can make lots of money of a ponzi as long as you are not left holding the bag. Kinda like the bankers in 2008, we still haven't woken up to it.
Why would that be inciting terrorism?  Lorddave was merely describing a type of shop we have here in the US, a bomb-gun shop.  A shop that sells bomb-guns.

Mine garlic. Garlic will always hold its value, as long as there is a demand for delicious food!

But yeah, a lot of them are basically ponzi schemes.
