How do you think it looks when the self styled leader of the flat earth society calls its own members 'fucking arseholes'? Lets face it, very few if any people on this forum have ever met anyone face to face. Those you call 'fucking arseholes' might actually turn out to be pretty nice, decent, hard working members of society. A lot of the shit thrown around here is usually said and taken in jest but from you it seems to come harboured from deep within.

Personally, these days I'm not overly fussed who or what you believe. Hell, my own agnostic view would be ridiculous by many. You'll have to forgive me if the way you come across looks like it's only for the attention seeking. If that's wrong, I can take it, but it's just how it looks. It probably also has something to do with the fact the main moderators here seem to lack any conviction or seriousness in the flat earth belief and then that falls on you by association.

As for the others given how deeply this has cut you I say, C'mon guys, this is a remarkable achievement for John.  We should welcome that our leader has finally received some hard recognition. In a world populated by 7+ billion people, he is one of only 50 odd to make it into a particular book. No matter your thoughts, it's pretty cool regardless.

Perhaps I'm being a bit sensitive, but it really gets old, and its not limited to this forum. Take a glance through some of Shenton's ingoing and outgoing correspondences to see how much of this crap we deal with from different sources and always have had to deal with. It really is a burden as I do my best to reply to every correspondence we receive.

To me, there is very little difference between this kind of nonsense and bigotry. As such, I don't feel its unreasonable for me to post responses that are at times overly passionate against these cheap attempts to discredit our austere society, its members, and its administration.
