Math is math.

And how that math corresponds to reality and models is evidence for or against the model.
If math based upon a model matches reality, it is evidence for the model.
If math based upon a model fails to match reality, it is evidence against the model.
If math based upon reality matches a model, it is evidence for the model.
If math based upon reality fails to match a model it is evidence against the model.

It is not the math by itself. It is how that compares to the model and reality.

Math based upon reality matches a RE and vice versa. Math based upon a FE typically does not.

Your results could just as easily be interpreted the Earth is a stationary flat plane and the distance to the Sun is different.

No it can't.
That only works in specific cases.
As a simple example, consider the north pole, 45 N and the equator, on the equinox.
The sun is at 0 degrees, 45 degrees and 90 degrees respectively.
On a RE this works fine as this is merely the change in angle of the ground with a very distant sun.

On a FE it doesn't.
Based upon 45 N and the equator, the sun ends up being 5000 km above the equator.
Based upon the NP and the equator, the sun ends up being 0 km above the equator.
Based upon the NP and 45 N, the sun ends up being 0 km above 45 N.
These are 3 completely different locations.

So no, it doesn't work on a FE.

All the evidence which is definiative indicates Earth is round.
The only "evidence" which "supports" a FE, is either pure BS, or which cannot distinguish between a flat and round Earth.

Any scientist, engineer or technician involved in aeronautics or oceanics navigation will tell you that the Flat Earth Society is "Complete Nonsense" in itself.

I will concede that most of those people have probably  never even heard of the Flat Earth Society or so-called "flat earth believers", but those that do consider "flat earth" as "Complete Nonsense."

It does make for  interesting reading if you like fantasy fiction like "Alice In Wonderland" , "Gulliver's Travels" or "War Of The Worlds."LOL

becaus if you face north, but you are upside down, then suddenly it is the other way around.
