2 Kings 2:23-24
New International Version
Elisha Is Jeered
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.
Is Crouton alright? Jura?
I worry about him sometimes.
He never even called me bald, I'm not sensitive about it, I wouldn't have minded. He just said he could win a war against God.
I don't think he still feels the same way.
Do you?
Are you sniffing glue?
Or am I Kabbool as well in the land of strange shadows and stalking weirdness that you inhabit? I mean I enjoy his pinball posts, deciphering them is both fun and frustrating and he seems like someone I would like, but can’t there just be more than one here who thinks you are a loon, is that what you can’t understand.
I thought he was quoting part of that book of contradictions you mine to calm your beating heart. I would have called you slap-head not baldy if I were stooping down.
Also, what the fuck has the Babbit case got to do with this, I certainly never said they were right to shoot her, anywhere.
You have to do the oranges v’s apples thing and then add what you imagine you want us to think to make a point.
But I’ll play.
I know a woman in a car can be a scary thought to someone who is probably not in regular contact with one, but in my world, one edging slowly towards me is less scary than a baying mob trying to smash in the door I’m hiding behind.
Maybe that’s just me, and again, I’m not saying she deserved to be shot, but in a world where two big armed police officers are intimidated enough by a 21yr old pregnant girl to riddle her with bullets and get away with it, I’m not surprised. And kinda underlines the point I was making.
