The two forums continue to exist. Having more than one forum isn't a big deal. Take the acronym out of the word filter.  If someone spams links (which hasn't happened since the split that I know of and I only saw Tom Bishop doing it), treat them like any other spammer.

I think the nuance is that the forum didn't split in the first place.

This forum has had lots of technical difficulties over the years. The final straw for those on the other forum was when a few weeks of posts were temporarily lost during an upgrade (or server move, I don't really remember).  Once the posts were restored they didn't want to come back to this forum, they wanted this forum merged with their new one. I also think the real goal is to remove John Davis as tech admin and hand that job over to Parsifal.

Now, I think Parsifal is alright, but Daniel hasn't liked him for a long time. I think that is because the hairy taco convinced Daniel that Parsifal is the devil. And also because after Parsifal was demoted (he was a mod for awhile) his access to the mod forum was still active and he was able to read what was posted in there until he couldn't take it anymore and he revealed himself.

Also, there was a small group of us on IRC who plotted against the hairy taco. Our dastardly plan was to post "Roundy is the best mod" any chance we got. Oscar fed the hairy taco screen shots of the chat.

This is how I remember it. I'm sure I do not remember it all accurately. It has been several years now, anyway.

Yeah, there's a lot in the ongoing thread on the merge that I don't quite get.  I wasn't around for all of that drama.

From my point of view, the other fes has a good number of interesting members there.  And I like the small size of this particular forum.  I'd just like it to be a little bigger.

Seeing as these sites might be merging like mating worms in the future, I thought I might as well stage a raid to see what's up, say hi to those I know (The mighty Crouton, PP, Boots (bless)) and any others that grace our shores when this place falls to pieces.

I see Inti' has become a sticking point, and for that I feel partly responsible as he fell for my avatar and in his subsequent dissolution, he struck out as scorned lovers often do. Personally, I miss him, and I just know he will be made up to find me here.

As for integration, that would be great, wouldn't that be just great? I mean really great! It's not going to happen (at least not easily).

Ego's, poison in the well, bad blood and good old tribalism will see to that, but that is also why I am here, as a cultural exchange.

We may not be able to change what has happened between these damaged individuals, but we, the rank and file membership can bridge other gaps, make suggestions for slight changes, visit each other to build relationships, babysit and make cookies.

Here's a thought, the mighty Davis has lifted something, that stopped us doing something we weren't apparently ever doing, brilliant, so in reply we could say that should Inti' admit his behavior in trying to get Pars' beheaded by ISIS, was beyond the pale, he would consider a pardon should all things come to pass.
In the mean time come visit, forge bonds, show them that we want this to happen, just don't fall for my avatar or the immortal one may get jealous and have your head removed.

Intikam... Okay that whole threatening to murder a mod does sound bad but hear me out. What you all saw on your site was Intikam on a bender. We really brutalized him here prior to all of his death threats. I cannot stress how much we beat the hell out of him. After he was exiled from your site permanently and this site temporarily he was a broken man. When he returned here he wouldn't come out of the believers section. Only now is he starting to socialize again. Well as far as someone like Intikam can socialize anyways.

I'm not going to say that he's come to Jesus or anything but I would say that he's at least 60% less deranged now.

In my opinion the mods judged him when he was at his worst. I would say he's worth another chance.

It is not important to be bigger or smaller. That the whole point, the leader of the game is.

I'm not saying that "John is the best",  he is not. But compared to the similar sites and formations in such as twitter and facebook, I find his performance satisfying. Although he does not know the site design well, he is good at making leadership. As a result, john is not the leader of this movement, but he does his job well as leader of this site. This is leadership.

Merge: I do not think this is necessary. because, frankly, I decided that the managers of the other site are not much different than the managers of the other sites. First everyone has to understand: This is not a leadership of a website. This is a fight between true and evils. john is clearly staying one of the sides of this struggle. I do not see such a feature in others.

this is a multi-dimensional struggle: PR working, research, political struggle, media, internet media, radio programs,... etc. it does not matter whether you have a site or not. If you have a site, you can fool a few people, but this does not contribute to this movement. I am a solid part of this movement. John is a part of this movement too. There are a lot of friends here are part of this movement. we are here a whole family. Mother or father descriptions are not nice, but we can defind some of us as "notables" and family members. In this regard, the other ones like Junk, pars,... can only be a child in this family. Maybe in the future, illuminati may help them to be stronger than us. We don't know the future. supporting something weaker and bringing in power is something they do best. we can not know if they will do it or do not. But we know that; we are doing the true thing and this will be success in one way or another. my goal is to be successful on the right side with fighting right. not "at any cost".

If there is a price, but we will not pay it.

Your account is deleted, but your aren't erased. Your posts are all still there with your name attached. I was a big supporter of you for a long time and was very patient, knowing that there was a communication barrier.
