No question. But since you asked, why do you not feel well that you need to intoxicate yourself with alcohol first thing every morning?
I normally feel well in the mornings with no need to intoxicate myself with alcohol, BUT, very cold winter mornings, when I used to have a coffee in a bar near bye before work, I noticed some clients having a small cognac (2 cl) to warm up and I copied the habit. But only very cold winter mornings. I think it is good for the stomach ... in the winter. Like medicine. To keep you healthy. However, when I worked in Japan ... after work ... and ... before dinner ... we used to warm up with a couple of dry Martinis ... every night ... to get hungry. That was 40 years ago and it didn't hurt me. 25 years ago, when I was in the ***** luxury cruise business, it was plenty drinks before dinner with the paying passengers all the time and then lobster, caviar, vodka and champagne to start the evenings. The ship owner was Russian of course. It didn't hurt me. You sound like a prohibition supporter to assist Al Capone & Co that are still around, i.e. like a twerp.
Yes, most of your story was when you were a lot younger. You are
old now Heiwa. You already look like you have one foot in the grave. Your liver is not only not how it used to be, but given what you said above probably compromised with mild cirrhosis from all that drinking. Most people put on an extra jumper to get warm.
The payoff of the disinfection qualities of alcohol vs the damage done having the liver detoxify it and the destruction of brain cells while the alcohol is swimming in your brain is simply not worth it. Also alcohol increases the risk of cancer almost anywhere it is in contact with such as the mouth, throat, stomach and bowel.
Again, most people have good immune systems which negate the need for alcohol to kill germs. Is your immune system OK Heiwa?
I think alcohol is fine in moderation. Your assumption that I am for prohibition is rubbish and again proves even your basic assumptions are wrong. I just don't believe alcohol should be a habit or a vice. But the choice is entirely up to the person who drinks it of course.
If the cold winter mornings are bothersome I recommend some good thermal clothing. I have found that 'The North Face' is a good brand and if you can afford it (which if you are to be believed you can) that Icelands '66° North' is also a good brand. It's probably cheaper than buying the alcohol every morning.
