Telling someone to kill themself is not really any better or worse than any other insult or threat - it's merely voicing the sentiment that the world be better off without you. As such, it is far less insidious and evil than racism. The only time I can see there even being a comparison is if one person was clearly considering suicide, and then someone else urged them to do it - in this case there's a chance that it could push them over the edge into actually comitting the act, in which case I would say it is worse than racism. But that's not what was going on in the post in question.

It was indeed a serious question. It's the question I pose to anyone I know when they start crying like little babies. Don't get me wrong I don't mind people having an angry rant about somebody but it's when they start acting like life's terrible and playing the victim that I get bored. If life's really that terrible then they don't have to live it, I'm quite practical in that regards.

I don't ever tell people to kill themselves, I just ask them why they don't end their life if they hate it so much.

If my mates have troubles in their lives then I'm glad to help where I can... but only when they stop playing the victim.
