Paralax of the sun

As this site mentions their are members all over the globe (sorry disk). If the earth were flat, then given this user base it should be possible to demonstrate the viewers at different latitudes but the same longitude observe the sun rising from different angles as CHL has pointed out here: . My question is why this hasn't been done as it would be some definitive proof of your conjectures. Also if the earth were flat then you could use parallax to calculate the distance to the sun.

It hasn't been done because they know it will refute a FE.
However, RE people have brought it up repeatedly to show that the sun MUST be far away.
