Because if everyone believed in the same thing, there would definitely be more peace in the world.

Nazi
But if people begin creating new beliefs that oppose the most basic knowledge, based on a trust issue, then we will never be more than we are now. I am not an atheist, but I don't believe in a god, I don't think there is enough evidence to prove either side. I only believe in facts, and I find it insulting when people who have worked their lives to discover those facts are ignored.
How long have you been this mental?

When will you start working on hair growth or something worthwhile?

Go peddle newspapers.

So you have run out of arguments and no have to resort to personal insult.
Still, I guess that's the topic, and you are proving ProveMeWrong's case so effectively.
Keep it up it's the Flat Earthers' only weapon against people like Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Kepler, Einstein etc.

Yes you, totallackey, along with İntikam, Physical Observer and Areallivehuman are among the Globe's best proponents.

The mere idea of "all people need to believe the same thing," is so stupid, there is no need to present an argument.

It is only necessary to label the mindset.

If the mindset is that of a Nazi, then so be it.

It does not surprise me you are here defending that mindset.
People are entitled to their own beliefs, just not their own facts.
Thank you. I couldn't get the wording right.

When the balloon lifted off, it was traveling with the earth, and so it kept the velocity of the earth, same as he did when he jumped off. Now a question for you: If the earth is stationary, how did Baumgartner go up 24 miles, but manage to land more than 70 miles from where he took off?
He didn't go 24 miles up. He jumped from a helicopter 70 miles away.
He was never in a capsule attached to a silly helium balloon for crying out loud.

Yes he was....attached to a silly helium balloon...that is.
You really are a crazy guy.
Have you ever flown a kite?

Have you ever heard of something called the wind? That's apart from the gas you expell from your ass.
Have you ever heard of the jet stream?

Ouch someone on the internet called me a Nazi. Well they sure proved their point, better back off. I am actually part Jewish and I have had a Bar-Mitzvah. Happy Passover. I would tell you to **** off but I don't want to get banned.
Well, never miss out.

Fuck off.
As for the second part, everyone, other than a small group of people on this site and others around the world, consider the world being a globe as basic knowledge. When I talk to my family about why I go on these sites and argue with you people, I have to defend you to an extent so that they don't think I'm so low to argue with idiots.

Everyone is entitles to their beliefs, its a basic human right. However when evidence has been made countless times to support a FACT, and people continue to deny it because they don't trust anyone who knows something they don't, then that is creating conflict where there doesn't need to be any. I am not a Nazi, Fuck you for saying that. How dare you. I am not rounding up innocent people and torturing them because they have a certain heritage. I am simply pointing out that if people were to agree on things, even you can't deny that there would be much less conflict.

Why would that be inciting terrorism?  Lorddave was merely describing a type of shop we have here in the US, a bomb-gun shop.  A shop that sells bomb-guns.

The reason Baumgartner came down not far from where he took off didn't have anything to do with jet streams or atmosphere/lack of it.

He was moving with rotating earth when he took off. He kept this movement throughout his ascent and descent. There wasn't any force acting on him which would stop this movement.

The same applies to all of the balloons, rockets etc which are sent up vertically to high altitude.

(This has been stated a couple of times in this thread already, but I thought I'd repeat it as it seems to have been overlooked).

So a person in a capsule in a balloon that's supposedly in a near vacuum is being dragged along at the same speed as the Earth as well as an extra 70 miles from some Earlier drag.

So this so called near vacuum drags the person and capsule and balloon at nearly 1000 mph with the Earth's so called spin.

Your inability to understand simple physics in no way undermines the fact that this event took place and was witnessed live by millions of people. There are numerous videos taken of all stages of the jump available. The fact that you think they were all faked, is no reason to think they were in reality faked. To make such an assertion would require some body of evidence, and not just some crazy YouTuber rant.

Your beliefs are preventing you from engaging with reality and the truth.
Are you suggesting that these millions of people were somehow duped while you alone were able to see the truth?

No, he wasn't dragged along. He was already moving with the rotating earth when he took off. No force acted on him to stop this movement.

That he was 70 miles off when he landed was due to local wind I would think.

Tell me how this works.
You're allowed to call me all the names under the sun but just tell me how this is supposed to work.
*sigh* You do realize that it wasn't near vacuum all the way up, don't you?  There was plenty of atmosphere, and I'm sure plenty of winds, on the 40+ mile round trip up and down.

It is just the way it is, you understanding it doesn't concern me.

As I mentioned before, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but not their own facts.  The jet is a fact.
Are you telling me that the jet stream carries his balloon along even though he's supposedly in a near vacuum.
And in a extreme low pressure inside a chamber, a fan will not blow paper away or very light objects?

Tell me how this works.

He was already moving with the rotation of the earth.  What force do you think would stop him?

His views were never extreme

Moron  ::)

"Everybody should believe the same thing," = extreme.

Moran.

He didn't say that. He said:

Quote
Because if everyone believed in the same thing, there would definitely be more peace in the world.

M-o-r-o-n. Moron.
