This is what we have to do to prove that the earth is flat and to end all discussion.

I was awakened on Sunday, February 12, 2017.

On Saturday I was viewing videos of the prophecies of Trump becoming president in 2015. That night, I prayed to GOD to give me knowledge and wisdom and boy did he. On the next day as I was viewing some videos on Trump, I so on the sidebar on YouTube a video that stated that the earth was flat.

I said to myself, “These people are crazy, everybody knows that the earth is round. I should know better, after all I have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering”.

Boy was I wrong!!!!

How can we prove that the earth is flat and not round for once and for all?

May I be bold enough to suggest the following?

We need two people that are surveyors by profession that will record their findings on video with two cameras, one for each surveyor, and that are timecoded (clock running) and in total view of the camera. These two time codes have to be synchronized with each other to be the same.

They have to go to a location that there is no question where they are on Google Earth and the distance that they are apart.

They have to be a distance of at least 7 miles (curve drop 7 meters).

They both have to place their surveyors stick in a fixed position and mount their cameras on fixed tripods so they will not move.

Their sticks have fixed lines every so many inches or centimeters.

With the high power lens on their camcorders they will record the other person’s position.

Also on their smart phone they will download an app that will display their longitude and latitude and show it on the video before they start.

If they are able to zoom in on their partners smart phone to read the numbers, even better.

These videos must be uploaded on YouTube Live, so there will be no question if it was edited with After Effects.

The administrators of this site, must try to find people to do this video.

Simple.  Just provide a detailed model of the flat earth, sun and moon system that matches observations as well as, or better than, the RE model does.

After reading the experiment you came up with, i doubt it.

May I be bold enough to suggest the following?
[proceeds with suggesting an experiment]

For camera's it's perfectly possible to look straight ahead.  For humains not.  So simply putting 2 cameras at a certain distance away from each other isn't gonna prove anything.  A better experiment:

For starters invite people from all relevant parties.  So this includes REers, FEers, DETers, ...  Also invite multiple media and some alternative media.  Have all of the mentioned parties send at least 2 people.

For the experiment itself:  Take one heck of a strong laser, put it at a certain distance above the ground (measure this distance with high accuracy).  Make sure it's perfectly leveled, check this with preferably at least 2 different measuring instruments that are very precize. 
Now take something (sheet of metal, cardboard, ...) and apply markers to them every 5 or so cm (again make sure they are accurate).  Make sure you can put it on the ground perfectly straight up.

All of the above mentioned must be observed by all members of all invited parties.  After this have 1 member of each party stay with the laser to verify that nobody tampers with it.  Have the other member accompany the board to a location 7 miles 'down range'. (other members from the same party may do as they please)
Now put the thing with the markers on and put it in the beam of the laser.  Check its altitude above the ground, use the markers and every other accurate tool available. 

Now one last final step before crying eureka: get the height above sea level of both locations.  Be exact don't use GPS as it isn't accurate enough.

Now do the math with the numbers i trust you can find out yourself what math you have to do.

And this guy actually makes a valid point.  Using 2 lasers would indeed be better.  However i'd level them using 2 different devices.  This way one can be even more sure that they are leveled.

Nope, both your and mine experiment can be explained by a phenomena FEers scientifically explain as: "Bendy light".
It is impossible to end discussion.  You'll always have the ignorant and the misinformed (i'm not saying that FEers are ignorant or misinformed, i bet you there are more ignorant and misinformed REers).  And they'll just keep discussion with you.  And then you have those who don't care about the truth and just want to believe something. (there may or may not be some FEers that fall into this category, i'm not gonna comment on that.  There definitely are REers that fall into this category.)

Clearest way to prove the Earth is flat is to locate The Edge.  You know, The Limit, The Barrier, The Corner Where the Sides Begin.  It ought to be in every direction if  you go far enough.

Once The Edge is located there will be the growth of entirely new sciences and industries to explore the sides of the planet, analyze any plant and animal life (and maybe intelligent life!) living on the sides, exploit any mineral or natural resources, perhaps colonize the sides.  It could offer full employment and renewed prosperity for the whole world!

Do any of the other countries in the world know this?  Did someone vote for the US to protect Antarctica from prying FE believers?  Is this where the Northern Ireland band Snow Patrol got its name?  Are THEY part of the conspiracy too?
