Does evidence matter?

Regardless of its strength does evidence matter in the face of flat earth belief?
On another thread on meteor craters, Sceptimatic refused to answer a question regarding this event as well as side stepping other questions.

The event from 2013 shows a meteor entering the earth atmosphere and exploding causing damage over a large area of Russia. Thousands of video recordings were made of this event thanks to the Russian practice of having dashboard cameras fitted in their cars. The above video is made of a compilation of these as well as from eye witnesses who recorded the event on mobile phones and from security cameras.

Here is some background information on the meteor.

Here is another from last year again from Russia, being such a vast country and with so many cars and cams its not surprising that these events happen and are captured there.
It is beyond question that meteors exist as we have evidence of them entering the atmosphere and exploding. We also have the physical evidence of the remnants of the 2013 meteor that was recovered from a lake.......

Typical.....Sceptimatic nowhere to be seen after asking for this question to be put on a different thread..

Don't waste any more of your time trying to swerve what's being said. If you want to talk about the Russian so called meteors then open up a topic.

So far no response...still spewing out the same old claptrap on the other thread blind to the truth blind to the evidence. If he is calling this 'a so called meteor' then he is obviously lost any claim to rationality.

To be fair, if that was what you specifically wanted to discuss, then you would have been better mentioning it in the thread's title.
