Visiting the "Ice Wall"
« on: August 30, 2016, 02:17:21 PM »
I've seen on uncountable posts while entertaining myself on this forum about how the "Ice Wall" is protected and just impossible to visit. I did a little research (google really) and found this gem.

https://www.expeditions.com/destinations/antarctica/journey-to-antarctica/

It appears if you have a spare 13 or 30 grand laying about you can head down there yourself.

Now I what comes next, you'll say it's just to the peninsula. That seems to be what most tours offer. However, while there seems to be protected areas, it also appears if you'd like to go down there and explore you're more than welcome to. No government assassins or helicopters guarding the "wall."

Thoughts, comments?

I think you are confusing the "ice wall" with the "edge."

I could be confused. If you've tried following FE "logic" it can get you lost fairly quickly.

Many models, such as DET, allow for there to be a second pole. Not that any round earther will tell you this, or even acknowledge that their questions are answered.
