Yes, I can see satellites, in exactly the positions they should be according to their purposes and orbital elements.  And with a half-decent telescope, I can resolve the International Space Station.  It is your befuddled brain that decides that this would or could be faked. 

What is that Bright dot moving across the sky? How are we so easily able to predict when and where it will appear? How come those bright dots appeared exactly after a satellite was launched?
