The thread, I think, does a good job explaining some Trump support https://twitter.com/martyrmade/status/1413165168956088321?s=20 If you'd rather read it like a blog post https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1413165168956088321.html
This doesn't mean I think everything in the thread is true, I have no way of knowing if some of it is or not, but I do completely understand the feelings about the media. I understand the feelings about the govt in general.
That's an interesting blog. Most of it isn't true, it's right wing propaganda disguised as an opinion piece, pushing most of their talking points. None of it is anything that hasn't been yelled from the rooftops for years, but it's interesting to see it all pulled together and show what the narrative they want you to believe is.
It completely ignores the fact that so many conservatives distrust the government and media in the first place because elected Republicans have been telling them "government bad" and "media liberal" for decades now. Same with the election. Republicans go on TV and say it was stolen, then demand investigations because their constituents are upset about it being stolen. Really.
Lots of misinformation in there, like forgetting to mention that Fusion GPS was initially hired by Republicans, and Democrats started working with them a few months later. It's all a complicated mess, but calling it purely Democrat opposition research is just false.
It's also an outright lie that the FBI investigated the collusion solely on the Steel dossier. I could go on, but there are just far too many lies and disinformation in there to list.
But it's a good idea of how the average conservative thinks, or has been led to think.
