Page 57 talks about anti-corruption when providing banking assistance.


Did you just google "foreign aid law corruption us" and assumed that law supported you?  Because you didn't read it.  If you had read it, you'd have pointed me to part II on page 174, which is literally en entire section about military aide.

One of the more interesting cases is Mitt Romney.  I don't know if Trump is going to let this go.  Trump Jr wants to expel him from the party.  Fox News is now openly hostile to him.  Laura Ingram is threatening to run against him.  In Utah there's been a bill introduced that would allow a referendum to recall a senator.  I've seen billboards advertising hit pieces from Sinclair Broadcasting owned local stations.

I don't have insight into the mindset of Trump supporters but this seems unwise to me.  I would worry that this sends the message that the definition of a republican is no longer any set of ideals but loyalty to one specific individual.  When you see the retaliation that Romney is enduring it's no wonder every other republican voted to acquit.  They were terrified.

Yes but I'm just curious about the optics of that.  Do "republicans" mind that?  Are they at all bothered?  Do they even understand why upholding ideals like law and order are good things while absolutely loyalty to a person is a bad thing?

One of the more interesting cases is Mitt Romney.  I don't know if Trump is going to let this go.  Trump Jr wants to expel him from the party.  Fox News is now openly hostile to him.  Laura Ingram is threatening to run against him.  In Utah there's been a bill introduced that would allow a referendum to recall a senator.  I've seen billboards advertising hit pieces from Sinclair Broadcasting owned local stations.

I don't have insight into the mindset of Trump supporters but this seems unwise to me.  I would worry that this sends the message that the definition of a republican is no longer any set of ideals but loyalty to one specific individual.  When you see the retaliation that Romney is enduring it's no wonder every other republican voted to acquit.  They were terrified.

They haven't been republicans for 3 years.  They are the Trump Party.  Follow Trump or die. (Politically)

Yes but I'm just curious about the optics of that.  Do "republicans" mind that?  Are they at all bothered?  Do they even understand why upholding ideals like law and order are good things while absolutely loyalty to a person is a bad thing?
What they see is:
My president is being attacked all the time so I need to support him always.  He is amazing and great and America is lucky to have him.  Why does everyone hate America?
