Let's learn to read.
Bulma thinks certain passages of the Bible were additions by people who had no love for Jesus.
The Bible actually prophesies the Messiah will die on the cross for the sins of the whole Earth. And that the Messiah will fight for Israel. These are not contradictions. What is a contradiction is that the Messiah will die on the cross for all sins, then abruptly at some end time, decide that sins like jaywalking can no longer be forgiven. Refuse to obey traffic signals?
A lake of fire for you!!!The same God who loves you and forgives your sins, wants you to live together with your neighbors. Currently, Israel's neighbors have too much land and are taking advantage of it, trying to close in on it on all sides. I seem to remember a speech...
https://news.sky.com/story/donald-trump-says-eu-was-formed-to-screw-the-united-states-and-threatens-25-tariffs-13317606If you want world peace, you have to have those with few wants defend what they have against those with too many wants by limiting their ability to take and take. Israel has lived in a tiny land well below what it has been promised for years and years. They have desires that are too small. The Muslim world has desires that are too great. Having Israel dead square in the middle of them means they can't unite against nearby countries. In the same way, Ukraine cannot be an ally of NATO or EU, and shouldn't be owned by Russia if we're being honest. It should be an independent country under contract to warn Russia of potential attack in exchange for Russia's defense. This curbs Russia's border expansion and EU trying to push their territory east. Similarly, the US needs Greenland because China is thinking about getting satellite states, and Denmark is fucking weak.
Imagine being devoutly faithful to a creed you can shuffle to fit your own prejudice.
Yeah, it's tough to imagine... oh wait, no, everyone does that! They just aren't honest about it.
The Jews gloss over passages where it mentions Him dying on a cross or suffering for sins or raising again.
The Marxists like to have Jesus talk about sharing but very little about personal responsibility toward charity work.
The gun control nutters mention a great deal about how Jesus told his followers to carry no weapons, but don't mention that time when he told them to guy weapons.
The fundie judgement day types ignore both the teachings about forgiveness and the fact that some passages about the Day of the Lord are significantly different from the Revelation account.
Every single person who uses the Bible has a canon of what they will and won't believe in. I happen to have told the reader what I am doing and why.
Just a little blasphemous.
Lets ingore the hypocrisy as a whole other can of worms
No, by all means, let's talk about your own hypocrisy, and how I'm at least honest about what I do and don't believe in, and I print it right on the label. I don't hold up the Bible, and then proceed to talk about a Jesus that somehow condemns the entire Jewish state of Israel to destruction. Love your neighbor, unless they are the people you grew up with in your mortal life, then I guess we don't care that Iran and Palestine want to blow them off the map.
Let's talk about
that hypocrisy!
