OK! as we know that Earth is either round nor flat.... OK does anyone know about Newton laws of gravity and Eisenstein speed of light Relativity its quite simple... Take a Hard ball EG. BASEBALL or even METAL BALL now Rotate the ball or Throw it really hard almost to the breaking point... it will appear as flat and diagonal as it travels at speed....
ACTION + Velocity = GRAVITY and in space once big bang occur all that debris never stop moving and keeps building speed.... and when Gravity applies it always pull in center so thats why there is "CURVE" or ACTION OF FALLING as every thing and Animals always have and always will have a CENTER of GRAVIT, Just like magnet there is always a constant push and pull since the earth is moving so fast and rotating......

good question, but EARTH IS EITHER round or flat its just a depiction of our line of sight and our brain is making some "funny decision by the tricks that we see", well the answer is EARTH GRAVITY around the sun have a "higher and lower" point of rest, that means there are points where EARTH Gravity SPEED "HIGHER" increase slightly making earth much flatter "thats why we got time DIffference change on a certain months like AURA LIGHTS, EL NINO, TIDAL WAVES" and the lower point is where the earth is farthest away from the sun and more relax reverting to its slightly form, "thats why we got phenomenon like EARTH quick, VOlcanic eruption and Continent Shifting also Oceanic flow and Magnetic Change"...
For airplanes WELL just simple Biology, HUMAN NEEDS TO REST AND REFUEL and not endanger the PASSENGER and the rest of the crew that is why we cant travel at straight line.... and also at some parts of OCEAN the AIR CURRENT are not the same, some are worst that can bring down even the C130-hercules and that plane is tough.. air currents are base on how fast the EARTH SPIN AROUNd THE SUn.....
