I never made that claim. Didn't even imply it.

Oh, you did.

If not, then you implied the shuttle was un-landable...

Or something?

But as the very idea of a 70+ ton, stubby delta wing glider is yet another aspect of teh silly fake shuttle that defies all the principles of aerodynamics, then meh...

Could Concorde glide to a landing if it's engines failed?

Or an Avro Vulcan?

No.

So neither could your Giant Trash-Phallus Shpayze-shuttle.

FACT.

You are arguing from nothing but fantasy.

You finally run out of bullshit?

No prob...

Your Defeat is accepted.

Back to this:

Now; seems the only reference to the Buran being in Sydney that I can find is of the OK-GLI jet-powered testbed version being a static exhibition in the year 2000, well after it was retired...

It was bought by an Australian company called Buran Space Corporation, owned by Australian 'astronaut' Paul Scully-Power, allegedly.

Apparently this 'testbed version' could both take off & land under its own power, which came from four jet engines (two of which were rather conveniently in the same position as the 'orbital manouevering system' rocket engines), and was entirely subsonic in all its test flights...

So; a subsonic, jet-powered 'space shuttle'; exactly what I have been claiming.

Sadly, 'SkepticMike' seems to be unavailable for further explanation of exactly what he saw & did in connection with this jet-powered subsonic 'space shuttle'; perhaps he is friends with 'Paul Scully-Power' (lol made-up name!) or something?

Why a concorde shouldn't be able to glide to a landing?

Because it needs forward thrust in order to create lift.

Because it was designed that way.

Same as the shuttle was in fact.

Which leads us to this to this:

Now; seems the only reference to the Buran being in Sydney that I can find is of the OK-GLI jet-powered testbed version being a static exhibition in the year 2000, well after it was retired...

So according to your knowledge, in order to create lift forward thrust is needed?

No; according to my knowledge, the Concorde needs forward thrust in order to create lift.

As does teh silly fake shuttle.

Because neither of them were designed as gliders.

As such, Gravity is not their Friend.

Of course, you are welcome to believe otherwise...

But the principles of aerodynamics will disagree with you at every turn.

Might I suggest you look carefully at the Avro Vulcan?

Because if that could not glide, then what chance do you think teh silly fake shuttle stands?

BINGO

I knew you'd climb all over that power/glide/pitch/speed statement. I could have bet the farm on it. And I could have doubled down on the fact that your response would prove you never bothered to Google/being the facts about it.

As I said, you are one dimensional and far too predictable.

You trim for speed and rate of decent with  power, (RPM) and flaps. You pic your spot on the runway as you turn to final. If the spot stays in place relative to you, let the aircraft fly to spot and  flair for the landing.

If the spot seems to scoot away from you, that says you're too low. If your airspeed is correct, you add more RPM (power). But if your airspeed is fast,  pitch the noes up. if it is too slow pitch it down. If you are too high, power out, (reduce the RPM, power). Glide controlled by power, speed by pitch.

BTW its is how you control your curse speed too. You set your power for altitude then trim the pitch for speed. Power/glide/altitude and pitch for air speed.

Had you bothered to do just a little research before your SOP Knee Jerk posting you would not now be shown to be fool you are. And the best thing... You did it to yourself.

Yeah. All he knows is trolling. I haven't responded to him directly in a while. Why waste my time

Back to the Facts you are so desperately trying to astroturf:

Them darn Time Zones again, I bet!

Funny how you ask me to share my knowledge but are so reluctant to share your own, hmm?

Toodle-pip, Hoarders of Shpayze-Wisdom!

I got Trolled & Shilled at the CIA Troll/Shill Society and now I feel EPIC!!!

Althugh we all know you think atoms do exist. You are just trying to start arguments by saying they don't.

No; I'm poking fun at you for the astoundingly ignorant bullshit you come out with.

Cos let's face it, none of your Midwitch Cuckoo JREF scum-hive cohorts will do it.

As for 'atoms'; meh...

The current model's absurd reductionist nonsense, so although there may be some kind of basic building blocks to existence, what you potato-heads think of as 'atoms' ain't it.

This thread sucks btw.

I'm really curious to hear exactly "what" it is you think everything is made of.

I'm sure I won't get a coherent answer though. Maybe it will blow my mind though.

Did you ever notice that  the shuttle is in a fairly steep dive pretty much all of the time until just a few seconds before landing?

Not really...

Why not post a few vids of it landing & we can judge for ourselves what's going on?
I look forward to your expert analysis:

Plus, stop stalking me round the forum you control-freak psycho.

I know I'm the only dissenting voice left in your little 29,000 Shitpost Empire of Nowhere, but don't make it too obvious, eh?

Cos who will you have left to stalk when I'm gone?

No-one, that's who...

You dick.

But thanks for admitting you were wrong on the power/glide/pitch/speed issue.

LMFAO!!!

what make u say that some plane are able to glide and other arent?

What makes you say that I said things that I didn't?

Lol

You wouldn't believe any video.

Lol

He wouldn't believe it in real life even if he were a passenger. Or so he would say. If you posted about the Atlantic being salt water, he'd argue the point

No; according to my knowledge, the Concorde needs forward thrust in order to create lift.

As I recall the Concorde climbed like a madman to reach altitude, then to reach cruise speed, then throttled back, and trimmed the nose down to maintain cruise.

You know, Google is not your enemy and keeps you...

Never mind, you like playing the Fool.
