Digging Down

If the Earth is flat, how can I dig straight down through the molten core of the earth, and end up somewhere I could have got to by walking? If the earth was flat, and walking around the Earth was really just going in a circle (found this information in different forum), how can I dig down and end up on the other side of Earth?

Except nobody's been able to dig down that far.  You should be asking how we can use seismic waves to see the internal structure of the earth.

How does the"fact" that the earth is spinning have anything to do with being able to dig through to the other side? You're saying an apple is an apple because it's not an orange...

My point is:

"Although the earth is spinning, because of gravity you are spinning with it at the same rate. Therefore, as you dig down in a straight line, the earth's rotation has no impact on your relative position, do you would just keep going down in a straight line. If it were possible the cut through the molten core at the centre of the planet and continue digging, you would eventually dig to the point where you would experience a change in Gravity, from a pull downwards to a pull backwards as you begin to dig away from the core and towards the surface on the other side. Whatever digging device you are using would need to be self propelled in order to accomplish that. Finally, you would emerge from the other side of the planet on the opposite side."

The obvious answer of your question is: if earth is flat, this is not possible.
