There seems to be a number of fatal flaws in UA theory.
First, the earth's gravitational field diverges by a measurable amount, this divergence causes the tidal effects which we see in things like the tidal locking of the moon.
Second, there are small variations in the gravitational field caused by non uniform material distribution and density, these gravimetric surveys are well known.
Third, there is a decrease in the gravitational field strength at higher altitudes.
None of these observed phenomena can be explained by universal acceleration, or can they?
