Henry Worsley dies crossing Antarctic, 30 miles short of goal

Worsley was 71 days into his record-breaking solo mission to complete the legendary British explorer Ernest Shackleton's unsuccessful crossing of Antarctica in the early 1900s.

But Worsley was forced to call for help on Friday amid blizzard conditions, and in poor health he was airlifted to hospital.

Worsley's last statement sent from Antarctica said: "The 71 days alone on the Antarctic with over 900 statute miles covered and a gradual grinding down of my physical endurance finally took its toll today, and it is with sadness that I report it is journey's end -- so close to my goal."

Yep, no question,  he was killed for doing something hundreds have done before.   Those pesky NASA guards guarding the edge,   infected him with a bacterial infection.   


Now to confirm this,  we need some evidence.  What have we got.
A 55 year old guy raising money for charity,  fails to cross Antarctica and collapses from fatigue and exhaustion,  later dies in a hospital in Chile.
He raised $142,000 for the Endeavour Charity. 

So the reality.
The guy is a hero in anyone's language,  and deserves to be honoured.  Not used to further crackpot theories about flat earth.

I've been trying to find his route "across" Antarctica. Anyone know of a link? Where exactly was "30 miles short of his goal?"
