Congratulations to Tim Peake who will become the first british astronaut aboard the International Space Station today. Hopefully he snaps some nice photos showing how round and spherical the earth is.

Oh man, I'd love to go to space one day. Hopefully private space travel will be much cheaper as time goes on.

A Falcon 9 launch on the 19th with at attempted 1st stage landing. If that goes well, you can start looking forward to a future of much cheaper space flights.

Does Adobe provide more free licenses to NASA c.s., yeah?

This rocket was painted green when they rolled it to the launchpad yesterday:

Nice of em to give it an overnight re-spray just for 'Tim Peake' (lol- 'Peak'!).

I have always found it intriguing that FEérs would immediately kill the idea that space craft actually exist.

If the things they said where true, and people launching rockets, I would think that FEérs would be following the news, and being at launch sites investigating every part of the launch system so that they could finally prove without a doubt that the earth is flat.

 - Maybe the rocket goes up and hits the dome!
 - Maybe it stops going up because of some force unknown.

All of this would greatly benefit the truth!

Yet, instead, the fear of being wrong seems to be much greater. And FEérs will destroy the thought of discovering the truth.

That is interesting. Can you please send links so I can investigate?

The Soyuz is still green (olive green in fact) but at launch it is covered in ice due to the cryogenic fuel, making it appear white or silvery.

Does this LOOK covered in ice?

Cos it looks kind of ON FIRE to me...

BLITHERING nonsense!

What's the penalty for sock-puppeting again?

Watch any one of the dozens of videos from launch cams attached to rockets that point downwards will show all the ice that has frozen on the rocket shattering and flaking off as launch proceeds.

It's called 'cryogenic fuel' for a reason  ;)

Look at the people gathered near the launchpad. Hahahahaha. All of them are clearly deaf and all wearing stuntman fire suits.
It gets more hilarious as time goes on.
I watched this launch on the news and the rocket had one horrendous spray job. It also looked like it was made out of 45 gallon drums.

I wish they would just tip a star ship enterprise up on its arse end and show that ascending by someone running over and lighting a big cluster of swan vestas jammed up its arse end.

Well I don't see any flaking off in this photo.

Why do you even bother, Walter 'blithering' Mitty?
