How is a horizon possible if the sun is above us? If you did the experiment yourself by using a disc shaped object and a small ball, you'd see that the ball would be visible at all times, yet with flat earth theory, the sun hides behind the horizon. How can a horizon exist on a disc if the sun is overhead?

Assuming your simplistic "Let's just copy and paste the RE rules," maybe, but even so, you might want to consider addressing models people actually hold.

For example, spotlights. Look at a spotlight from enough of a horizontal distance away, even if you're below it, you won't see the light. This is trivially simple.

In what dimension would moving something away on an x,y axis cause it to be hidden by the edges of the disc? If the sun is above us then it never dips below the horizon. Regardless of what type of light it is, it would always be visible.Assuming it stayed within the confines of the Earth's edges.

Again, so long as you simplify to the RE model.
Don't forget the laws of perspective, however. I offered an experiment, you're welcome to try it. When light goes only in one direction, it will not be visible everywhere.
