At least something goes on here, while there seem to be about two threads on tfes that are active. Quality's important, but a lack of any meaningful quantity renders any benefit moot.

I can't agree. There are active threads going on all the time. If you think there are to few, one way to counteract that is to start good threads.

In the end of the day, you asked where all the FE'ers went, and that's your answer. Whether you want to hang out with us or the troll circus is entirely your prerogative.

If you're trying to extrapolate statistics on worldwide FE belief by scaling up the users of this forum, then it's more or less proof that you understand statistics so poorly that your figures should be ignored.

A peer reviewed paper would surely be rejected, the former peer would be unemployed. He would be labled insane, the same as anyone else who proclaims the earth flat.

I have read parts of this book. It is not a scientific book. Some parts are just pure pseudoscience and personal beliefes supported by nothing else but author's word.

Serious FEer would find this book incomplete and having contradictory statements. And lots of things being unclear too. Today that book would be completely destroyed for its lack of clearance by any reasonable reviewer.

And yet, there are people who believe everything this bad book described. And they will not question it. They are not serious FEers.

So, you refuse to list even a couple of points, for fear that your entire argument will be shot down and you will make yourself look even more like a fool, so instead, you simply say, "Watch this video you idiots."  You don't seem like a very brave person to me, Mr. fizzix; in fact, I would say you are a bit cowardly.   

To offer a personal opinion on the original topic:

I think the only people who I have seen make substantive posts and who might actually believe in a FE or at least some giant conspiracy are Legion and sceptimatic.

I do think a lot of genuine conspiracy theorists come here to find like-minded people, but then again you get those on almost every forum.

And then there is of course sandokhan, who I think is a true believer in something and who has clearly left all figments of rationality behind. What he believes in I am not sure, his posts are all but unintelligible.

Explain how the parallax motion of celestial objects shows us their distances and motions if stars are fixed and only a few thousand miles away.
Don't try and say it's fake unless you can show evidence of flat earther experiments showing no parallax. The usual stream of logical fallacies to avoid the argument won't cut it.
