What do people think about equating communism with modern liberals?

Go look at a magical thing called the "political spectrum". Liberalism is around communism, but socialism is closer. All-in-all, communism isn't a bad thing anyways. Neither is socialism:

This sounds like something a commy pinko liberal would say.  Maybe I am on to something?

This sounds like something a Fascist Nazi conservative would say. Maybe I am on to something?

Fascism and Nazism do not let citizens have firearms.  Conservatism does.  I know this is not the firearm debate forum, I just wanted to point out that they are completely different.

Also, if you even bothered to not sleep through civics class, you'd have known about the political spectrum.

You're starting to sound like one of those conspiracy theorist shills now. My civics teacher in high school was an extreme conservative and yet this was still taught.

Also, you're confusing two things here. You're confusing ideologies with actions. Just because the Nazis annihilated millions of people, it doesn't mean that the ideologies are completely different.

My first Physics Professor in college would often go on and on about President Bush jr.  She would also ramble on about how he was just like the Nazis, while never providing the slightest amount of evidence for her claims, and only depriving the class of our proper education.  But, this seems to be the trend these days.  It is funny to think back on how my teachers and professors were mostly bat shit crazy.  My Psychology Professor would ramble on and on about the ghosts in her house when she was not spouting her liberal agenda.  In my experience, teachers are liberals and try to impress their political views on the students, even when it is not part of their curriculum.  But, since you were brainwashed by the same people, you try to make me out to be the crazy one.

Okay orja, it's time for a Civics 101 lesson. You've already seen the political spectrum, so I'll explain why it's correct. Groups like liberals have ideals along the lines of "progression" and "more equality", etc., and conservatives tend to lean more towards traditional values. Here's a complete ordered list:

1. Radicals/Liberals - Equality and progression.
3. Moderates - Mix of the above, and below.
4. Conservatism - More traditional values, leans more towards a "traditional society".
5. Reactionary/Nazism/Fascism - Want to "roll back" society back to a time where things like racism and such exist.

Do you not see how this fits with the image I linked, and the general ideals of these different ideologies? Are you incapable of even learning a morsel of basic civics 101?

It is funny how you just make up your own definitions for words.  You did not even try to cite some liberal website for those definitions.  You can make up your own definitions all you want, but it only makes you look more ignorant.  I am not even sure what the point of your post was, but that probably does not matter anyway.

If you can't be bothered to do your own damn research and actually learn shit about this, then it's nowhere close to a win. I'm sure that you have an imaginary trophy case full of imaginary trophies from your fake "wins".

You have won nothing. You didn't bother to do any research whatsoever, you brought up baseless claims about it all being fabricated, you derail the topic, etc. You aren't even trying to win. In fact, it's having the opposite effect.

Tell us, oh wise liberal, how communism is so much better than anything else, even though no government in history has ever had a pure communistic ideology.  Go ahead, tell us, so we can all be just as enlightened as you brainwashed liberatards.

The communist governments we've seen, like Russia or China, aren't communist societies. They're just totalitarian states with the guise of "communism" used to keep the people suppressed. In essence, they aren't actually communist societies.

A pure communist society has the following characteristics:

1. Everyone is equal. Nobody is "higher" or "lower" than anyone else.
2. Expanding on the above, there isn't a concept of social classes.
3. Everyone works equally toward the common good, the common good being the advancement of human society.
4. All wealth is equally shared, again with the "everyone is equal thing".

All of these characteristics are described in the original communist manifesto set forth by the german philosopher Karl Marx. That stuff you think about communism that describes it as some "evil dictatorship" stems from U.S propaganda in the 1960s during the height of the cold war and the war against false Russian communism.

In essence, there's nothing bad about communism. Some people may not like it, but you really can't deny that it describes an idyllic society.

There you go. I've educated you. Of course, you're probably just going to prattle on and keep calling me a "libtard".

Your statement is correct.

Thank you, you are finally being honest.

When haven't I been honest this entire time?

How about when you unsubstantialy equated Conservatism with Fascism and Nazism?  Oh, did you forget that one time you lied?  You got busted and now you are mad.

First off, I wasn't equating conservatism with fascism and nazism, I was saying that conservatism is closer to those two on the polticial spectrum, but is in no way actually fascism or nazism. Are you too stupid to pick up on that, or do I need to be super-explicit for stupid baby orja?

So, then, what was your point in even bring up Nazism and Fascism in a thread about Communism? It sounds like you were either trying to derail the topic, or simply trying to troll the other posters.  Which is it?

No, it's because you steered the topic in a direction that required me to describe it dumbass. Do you have memory loss or something? Are you not capable of remembering what you posted?

I don't recall anyone saying anything about Nazism or Fascism before your post.  Perhaps, you were the simply derailing?  You know that is against the rules, right?

Oh, I didn't know derailing a topic was against the rules. Maybe we should cast a community vote to revoke your moderator status and permanently IP-ban you.

But, in all seriousness, I was in no way derailing the topic at all. In fact, you asked this:

Quote
What do people think about equating communism with modern liberals?

To which I replied with an explanation and a picture of the political spectrum, to which you replied with:

Quote
This sounds like something a commy pinko liberal would say.  Maybe I am on to something?

To which I replied with:

Quote
This sounds like something a Fascist Nazi conservative would say. Maybe I am on to something?

See? It wasn't derailment. Or maybe we were both derailing everything. You decide.

I am glad that you finally see how you were derailing and generally being disruptive.  I feel that you will make an effort to behave better in the future, so I see no point in further punitive actions at this time.  You and your gay liberal buddies have won for a change!

We were both derailing, and if derailing is winning, then we are both winners. Hooray!  :o
