To the OP: yeah, it looks like you're right. What you have seen is typical of the "quality" of the argument here. Mostly conspiracy ("you're all paid shills"), "brainwashing" ("drilled into them through current educational processes"), nothing to explain common experiences (sunsets??? derp! circumpolar stars???  derp! derp!), at best, limited vision ("it looks flat to me when I look out my window"), and, at worst, "there's no real flat-earth map" .

Nothing remotely compelling. Disappointing, really. I was hoping "The Flat Earth Society" could do better.

If you seriously think that there's even a snowball's chance in hell of getting FE 'evidence' into textbooks, then you're a naive and ignorant fool.

I submit that RET believers rally against FET inclusion in textbooks because of fear their methods of Earth shape proof fail to provide proper evidence.  Something that FET can deliver. 

The preponderance of RET in our daily lives is ludicrous when it is just a newcomer to Earth shape reality. It's arrival, timed around textbook print history, nabbed the attention of publishers when pushed by sleight of hand scientists who openly profess that there is no truth in science.

It would be best to have a map that actually works before demanding it be included in textbooks. Your first challenge is to devise what you all think is the correct map. If the Earth were flat, it would be a cinch, and we wouldn't need all those different projections we have to use to represent the Earth on a flat page. If.

If you really believe that FET will win once evidence from both sides can is presented then you should work on producing a scientific journal that explains why the Earth is Flat and submit it for pear review.  If FET is really more accurate than RET then a scientific journal written on the Earth being Flat should be able to pass pear review.  Keep in mind that any Theory that predicts a Flat Earth will need to explain all of the current evidence as well as presenting new evidence that the Round Earth Theory can't explain and it will need to make predictions.  Also it will need to be the simplest explanation to explain all the evidence as otherwise it will violate Occam's Razor and be unnecessary.

If you really believe that FET will win once evidence from both sides can is presented .... 

....uh, no.  It will "win" long before that --- long before Hollyweird starts broadcasting dramatized controlled opposition on live television.

Examining this and the other site many of the moderators run, I had come to the same conclusion.
I am unable to convince anyone of my faith in GOD, they just don't hold GOD the creator in high regard, much
less would they ever worship HIM for HIS greatness. But, I will. Most are atheists and at best agnostics, however, the former seems to be the norm. That is their right.
I will make a few posts, just to let the world know, that someone out there is a child in the kingdom of
GOD. And that faith in GOD is more profitable than faith in science.
I wish all a speedy journey to wisdom.
One plants, another waters, but GOD gives the increase.
One must want GOD before HE will show you the riches of HIS glory.
I think the earth is flat and needs a lot more looking into.
No one said the walk would be easy, but it will be worth it.
