"Is the Earth Actually Flat?" - Good VSauce video debunking Flat Earth models.

I am new here, so I am not actually sure if we can link to Youtube videos, but I will put the link here at least - it's an excellent video by VSauce explaining how the Earth couldn't possibly be flat.

I figure it would be good for some arguing...er...I mean, "debate".

Here's another great video debunking a lot of Flat Earth claims. (I would love to see some answers and counter-claims by Flat Earthers, to any of the points made in these videos...)

There are tons of videos on YT that say the opposite. You have to use your common sense mostly to figure it out for yourself.

Or you could go fuck yourself. That's good too.

Well yeah, that is true, I know, I have watched a ton of Flat Earth videos in the past few weeks, but most of them make crazy and already debunked points. I mean, one video even claimed that planets don't existed and can't really be seen, comets aren't real, and eclipses don't happen. I am an educational outreach volunteer at a local planetarium, and I *have* seen all of tho s things with my own eyes - including the transit of Venus a few years ago - and I am pretty sure they are all of real.

I think these videos both make some very good points, though I should probably summarize some of them, since you can't embed videos here.

Most videos I have seen that attempt to discredit FE rely on gravity theory as part of the argument. Since I do not believe in the theory of gravity I cannot take these videos seriously.

I can't watch the video right now, but is this the one that agrees that flat Earth math works, as long as you don't assume the Earth is round?

Well, I hope that you continue to leave your house or apartment by the ground level door, and not the second story window....

Okay, seriously, yes, how gravity would work on a flat plane is *one* of the points they make, but it is only one of many...they pretty much both go point-by-point through every Flat Earth claim that I have heard, and debunk them one by one.

The first video here, from VSauce, actually mentions this very forum here, and shows some screen-grabs from it.

This is another good video that even offers ways that you can TEST FOR YOURSELF and prove that the world is not flat. (And the guy who made this video is a conspiracy loon who believes that NASA faked the Moon Landings and that Climate Change isn't real and that the Flat Earth Movement is a was started by government operatives to make conspiracy theorists look not credible... and even *he* is like 'Look people, deal with it, we live on a globe'.)

" class="bbc_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">

This one even has math and graphs and stuff...pretty much *devastates* the Flat Earth argument.

Just FFing through this, looks like a North Polar projection of the globe. It's a time zone calculator, like it's title said, is it not?

BTW, where are the modern, accurate, Flat Earth maps?

I am not sure what you mean by 'the hydraulics of water", can you be more specific?

And, FYI, I am not 'claiming" that the Earth is round...the Earth *is* round, it's a proven empirical fact.

The videos I posted all have both clear - and even *personally* repeatable (as in, you can do them yourself) - proofs that the Earth is round, but also clear debunking of multiple Flat Earth claims.

But I have a feeling that not a single Flat Earther here has even watching one of the videos, because I don't think Flatheads are really interested in the truth, because they want too claim to their belief in an impossible Flat Earth. At leas t us Ballers are willing to watch Flat Earth videos, and consider the arguments and compare the to observed reality.

I would love to see a Flat Earther review even one of these videos, and offer a clear refutation of the facts/claims presented.

It would sure be nice if you gave your own insights when presenting to us a video.  I am sure less people would ignore you if you did.  I, for one, have no interest in watching, much less discussing, a video in which the presenter only gives a link without giving their own thoughts.

I debate a lot of Flatheads on Facebook and Youtube, and almost all I get as "answers" are memes and Youtube videos.

But this one video alone, sums up all my thoughts and answers, as a true skeptic debates a Flat Earther, and the FE'r brings up EVERY POINT (which *he* ironically* calls "the internet hive mind") that every Flat Earther regurgitates as their main talking points. And the scientific skeptic's questions and answers are all the ones that I have had - only he states them much more eloquently.

So if you only take the tame to watch ONE of my videos, watch this one. All the answers I would give and have given are there.

It's not called "gravity theory", it's called "The Law of Gravitation".
